NO ONE has come close to the energy and unbelievable voice (except maybe John Belushi on SNL!). Truly a gem!

The legend of the great Joe Cocker will last forever. As. for the H of F it’s a joke. As is Rage Against the Machine. Been nominated about 13 times but no gong. A huge joke

There's a theme lived with me throughout these times. Whether it was Mad Dogs, Bangla Desh, Homewood Studios. Whatever. I always thought Don Preston was fantastic, but it was like he was always censored. And surely, Bangla Desh was almost predictable. I often wondered how he felt.

Was there ever a better, more beautiful backing singer than Claudia Lennear? What a gorgeous, talented, happy soul.

Somehow, Joe Cocker always had spectacular backup singers and band. And, then he sang his heart out. Quite a combination.

Leon Russel was one of the Greats that was underrated and undervalued for his genius and writing skills. He was really a Separate Soul.

Bobby Keys was the best saxophone player in rock and roll, period. Apparently he was also a great partying wingman (Keith Richards) as well. RIP Bobby.

Love this performance, but when watched his documentary, it's so sad what this tour did to him, and whilst Leon was a great musician, not cool what he did to Joe. Joe had nothing to do with him after this tour. Went back to England broke nd skin nd bone due to the drug taking, it's amazing how he could still perform.

On the Mt. Rushmore of albums. The top 5 of them all. Joe's singing and Leon Russell's arrangements make this the best. Wore out my vinyl twice. Just a great album from start to finish.
