Thank you sooo much for posting this. After much self diagnosis via scanner, my issue kept returning after several soft tcm resets. My IMS issue was that it cannot detect distinguish P and N. Upon ignition the torque converter slams the system. Reverse is good but low power. The D is low power maybe stuck on 3rd or 4th the entire time. Max speed is 55 mph.

Is this the 2.4 malibu

My goodness, what a great video. I am wondering if I buy the solenoid pack only and replace that instead of the whole TCM if that would work and if i wouldn't need to reprogram it since i would keep the same computer?

While cold it takes 5 seconds to shift to HEAR IN D THEN I DRIVE ITS NORMAL 1 2 3 4 5 WHILE COLD AFTER 1 MINUTE OF DRIVING HEAR BLINKS ON N THE HEAR IS STUCK IN 3RD SHIFT WHATS THE ISSUE.
