this reminded me how our local radio rock station, in the 1977 new years eve top 10 countdown had the Eagles Hotel California at #2, and Leo Sayers Feel like Dancing at #1. my whole high school was in disbelief. we practically boycotted the station. cheers i love the cap and tenille. good memories❤

Toni's rendition of The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face was beautiful. Too bad she never recorded it on an album.

I have been on a Lakeside kick for the last few days. Had to go back and check these brothers out when they did the summer jam in Aruba with Sinbad. So glad I grew up in the funk era. Forever a Lakeside fan. ❤️

Neil is my father's first cousin. My parents are from NY and they grew up near each other. He first came to our house in Ohio in 1968. I have a photo and news clipping. I met his father, Mac, in 1972 when we visited New York. He came back to Ohio twice since for concerts and we talked and took more photos with my whole family. A very down to earth person.

Lots of people talk about their personal lives on Facebook so its hypocritical to call Toni Tennille a liar. She lived with him and knows how he behaved. Darryls father was very strict. He was an orchestra conductor and demanded perfection from people, not just his children. Toni has a righte let people know what really went on. People assumed they were the perfect couple. When the reality was far from the truth.

I was treated to seeing them live at the old Tangier Lounge about 4-5 years ago by someone very special who didn't know that Lakeside made some of her favorite R&B songs. They put on a excellent show, very entertaining & interactive with the audience during & after the show. I did not miss MW after the first song.

When I retired from drumming & singing lead for my band Charisma (KZfaq) in the 80's, I figured that there would be room for new, great performers. There is room, but they haven't really stepped-up...unfortunately....
