Man I know how hard it is. I used to do them at Hobart’s cycle and he would just sit there and laugh at me. If they need painted now’s the time and when you put back on let the tire sit out in the sun helps a ton. Soapy waters not bad too

I had the XV535 and then the XV1100, followed after a fair few years later by an XVS1100 - all were great bikes in their own right, and I put a decent amount of miles on them as they're my only form or transport (I don't drive a car, I just ride bikes)

Mine did the same last week cut the battery cable to stop the fire should have let it burn. It’s been in the shop 3 times under warranty with electrical problems now it’s not . MTD needs to recall them !

@@AceCafeBikes its in the shop they have other vids on here talking about the fires some say its the wire to the fuel solenoid on the carb being pinched when it was assembled I am looking at a Ferris unit now commercial grade 5 year warranty cant beat that never buy from tractor supply or any other big box store without a shop parts department and mechanic !!

Twenty years ago I lived in Owatonna for a little bit, I'd recognize that corn any day. I rode my 2000 ZRX 1100 many times out to bluff country to ride The River from Winona to Redwing. Then cross the bridge and take the Wisconsin side back. Nice Goldwing!

My Yamaha XS400 Seca has this, 1984. Mine are just run off a little timer box so it's 10s or 150m unless you're under 5mph. Still very nice.

yeah my 1978 xs750 has it, I hate it though. I always want to put my signal on lots of time before i turn so that the person behind me doesn't run me over, but it always turns off and i have to turn it back on

Just replaced clutch cable on my CX 500 and the clutch shaft lost the tension on it. Before it would barely move. Now it goes up and down too easily and clutch lever doesnt return.

Without seeing it, I would guess that you just don't have enough pressure on the cable before you pull the lever. When you pull in the lever can you move the bike when its in gear?

@@AceCafeBikes yes. Clutch does not engage but the clutch arm on the engine is too easy to move after replacing the cable. Before I had use leverage to get it to move.

That is why I record this stuff - haha! Truthfully though, for some reason this bike seems to be coming apart easy and there hasnt been anything too complicated yet to remember. Now waiting a year and coming back to this might be an issue - SO - head down and carry on!
