I certainly hope you don't plan on putting hydrogen AND the oxidizer down that plastic tube already mixed together. The flame will propagate backwards down that pipe and blow it up. Ya might want to consider having them mix in the "detonation chamber"

Tanks Rob for paying attention! The truth is that both H2,, Acetylene , Methane and O2 will require a series of isolating techniques (checks) before being introduced into the detonation chamber .

I bought a old phone company 69 Ford econoline when I was 17 back in 1972. Repainted blue, portholes, skyjackers, cromies w/baby moons, and a full interior I sent away mail-order patterns to cut a van full of paneling, added cabinets and bed, and a 'QUADROPHONIC sound system for playing my "Quadraphenia" 8 track tape. ... It was ultimate chick wagon but not too popular with parents, Best times in my life, people today have no clue...

Mag chucks are only good for a surface grinder
@parsonsenergy
@parsonsenergy Ай бұрын
Tanks Nick, you're right about mag chucks as long as the material being held is magnetic. The chucks in the video came with the lathe, however, no need for them on my part since everything on the detonation engine will be 304 stainless steel and the design doesn't require tight tolerances.
@nickking8317
@nickking8317 Ай бұрын
@parsonsenergy OK stainless go slow but run your feed hard it work hardens. Also your magnetic starter on the lathe is in a very da ferrous spot I would put that on the front of the machine incase something happens you can shut it down quickly.
