Always really enjoy seeing your updates, thanks so much for taking the time to put these together. I've been putting off progressing on my own project for the '45 as I want to tkae my time and do the period and figures justice - I think your project has finally given me the motivation I need to commence :)

Nice to hear that I am providing you some motivation. I'd love to hear about your project. What scale are you doing it in? Which figures are you using, and which set of rules? If you are interested, I have developed my own set of rules that I am really enjoying.
@evilstu317712 күн бұрын
@@dukewinser6662 I'm mainly using the Flags of War 28mm range, with a few Warlord and Front Rank for interest. I had originally planned to use Sharp Practice, on the assumption that the project wouldn't grow too much, but had thought of Black Powder if it did. If you are at a point where your rules set is buttoned down and don't mind sharing, I would be interested to see what you had put together - the games you have reported on seem to be reasonably close run contests. Take care!

Great video. Awesome table, how big is it? How did you manage to get 32 rebels in one unit? I thought 8 or 10 was max.
@dukewinser6662Ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment. You are right. A group is usually 8, six for skirmishers and ten for militia. The rebels had one command of four groups for a total of 32 under the command of their main big man and a NCO.

Thanks so much. This has truly been the best project ever. It was hard to sell of a very large 15mm collection at far below what they were probably worth, but I have no regrets. The proceeds more than paid for the new collection plus several Hovels buildings. I am just finishing up a game that has the whole collection involved. I will post a video recap soon.

Can I ask where you got the roads?
@dukewinser66625 ай бұрын
Most of the roads are just felt cut into two inch strips and then lightly dry brushed with a lighter brown. Coarse turf is glued to the edges. Very simple and inexpensive. Another bonus is that they easily adapt to the terrain, unlike more rigid commercially made roads.

Apologies if you mentioned this on an earlier video, but where did you source your limbers and other wagons? I can't see them on the Old Glory site.
@dukewinser66626 ай бұрын
I used Old Glory Corp (oldglory25s.com/) The code is TE-1 Tricorne Limbers/Civilian Crews. I had four extra, so I just filed off the appendage that connects the gun and glued on some barrels I had on hand. I though it turned out pretty well.
