I picked up a original xl on sale for 41 bucks its as close to a liner lock detent that I own 😊

I just bought one of these from someone on reddit, & based on that detent ramp, it looks to me like it's too gradual. Any time I've cut a detent ramp into a blade, I try to make the transition as abrupt as possible to avoid the blade falling too easily off the shelf of the lock bar. It can definitely be annoying. If this is anything like a Chaves detent, you can get around it by pressing your thumb lower down on the lock bar & allowing the blade to drop down further to have more of a chance to get on that shelf. I'm still really excited to see what this one's like, & I love that's it's all US-made & Michael's apparently hitting that Magnacut at a bit higher HRc than some other companies, which is great! I did also just order Skiffs for mine. I no like a steel cage. Gimme Delrin or bronze.

I don't think 4mm would've worked because they'd get pinched between the scale and the bushing and change the width of the tolerance at the pivot. I think that's why they ride around the bushing.

It sort of reminds me of if CRK made an omage to the 940.

When you were letting it free fall before you put the crossbar in, the blade was hitting the standoff. 😣 The crossbar acts as the stop in the closed position, but you know that. Hope the edge is okay. Beautiful knife.

I like the design, but the price is a little high, IMO. Noticed that they're now offering a mirror DLC blade, but that version starts at $520?

The handle is actually Mill patterned to look like carbon fiber

You slide it clip up with the clip to the outside and it clips to your pants like a normal clip would hook to your pocket through that slot in the slip

The blade itself is reversible

Up till about 6 months ago headlamps were the only light I would keep in hands reach, in truck, garage, office because I was a big hunter. These days I use them mostly for breaking down knives. I recently bought a Rook, Wuben X3 and Angel Eye Rovy Von and tested all together with a cheap no name $12 for 2 headlamp and headlamp beat all the others in distance by a lot, Go Figure.
