Thank you for this video. That used to be my favourite rail trail. Perhaps I should head back soon and see if it can regain its position.

Looks great… can you share the strava link for this route, please? Thanks 🙏

Forgot to add in description. I’ve added the link there for the route. I use Komoot for mapping. You can easily download the GPX file to import into whatever navigation app you use. Strava, Garmin, RWGPS, etc. thanks for the comment!

Do you recommend doing the loop clockwise or counter clockwise?

Counter. Start from the museum and you get the big Anne St climb out of the way at the beginning. I’ve done both and I prefer counter.

Love the county and the ride to the bird observatory is a nice one, very quiet. I have cycled there a lot, cool to see it from someone else's pov! I plan to do some more videos from there, only have two I believe Thx for sharing

How much of the ride is paved vs gravel? Is it fairly easy to see a good pace or are there a lot of pedestrians in spots?
@bike-ride-beats

Probably 80% gravel. Trail does go through some town roads. And the north trail through Penetang is a paved trail but beautiful through forest. You only see walkers in the more urban sections. Avg pace for me is 24kph

As tough as it was on you, you kept your cool and seemed to enjoy the ride and was so happy the whole way. I will always think about this video when things aren't going my way, for inspiration. Out of water, man I would not have been fun to be around, much less make a video, and you talked about the adjustments to make and the scenery. Great video 👍👍

Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it. Tough one for sure. And that was definitely a less than happy moment. But all I could do was think about one pedal stroke at a time and go as best I could. Thanks!
