Nice ride, RIP 26-073. Today, I saw 29-063 on line 179, 29-022 on line 92, and 0707 ET on A-15S, presumably going to Cote-Vertu. 0707 came back yesterday after 4 weeks of inactivity. Also, 2210 came back this week after over 2 months of inactivity… I hope it not going to take the place of a 2nd gen. Edit: Just noticed this now, but 2060 came back after around 2 weeks of inactivity.

28-006, 016, 072, 102 and 108 all came back to service today after over 1 month of inactivity. (All buses from Saint-Laurent).

@@StmTransit1966 Yeah, I noticed that they were less older buses in the roads, especially after like 8pm-9pm. Like, during an average day, the 10th oldest running bus is like a 27-5XX, but now it's always like a 28-0XX, and after 8pm-9pm, the 10th oldest running bus is always a 29-0XX, as of before it used to be a 28-0XX or 28-1XX. Summer schedule explains partly this reality, but it's still sad to see all these inactive 27-5XX and 28-XXX.

Actually, it's normal that you didn't film a lot of 27/28-XXX rides this weekend, because there was practically no 27/28-XXX running this weekend. During the day, today, only 27-022 and 28-005 were running which is very sad to see. Although, this can be justified, because the STM usually run less 2nd gen buses during heatwaves, because they priorize the newer buses with AC.

@@georges625Wow, they still ran 27-022. It’s now clear the STM are trying to kill it, because they are still using it when no other 2nd gens are running at that moment. Very sad indeed. It’s the beginning of the end for STM 2nd gens 😢.

At the moment, there is only ONE diesel bus running for the STL, that being 1301 on line 55. The rest of the buses running right now are junk hybrids…😢 (Source: Transit Tracker)

Nice ride on 26-058! I’m noticing that since recently, a lot of older STL buses aren’t tracking. Yesterday, I saw 0504 on line 744 not tracking, and a few days ago, 0408 and 0412 weren’t tracking. For today’s sightings, I saw 29-031 on line 179 and 29-065 on line 92. 29-031 is the one that has slightly smaller chevrons on the left hand side.

@@pierremcnicoll184 Yes these are all great options! But if you want some more stops for 2nd gens, you can go to Rosemont, since it has a lot of 29-0XX.

Yeah, the four places you named are perfect, especially Cote-Vertu and Lionel-Groulx. Henri-Bourassa has some Legendre buses from the lines 48 and 469, and the 2 Anjou's 27-0XX, because of line 49.

Because it rear ended a semi truck. So the front part was severely damaged.

Yep, the nostalgia will hit hard in like 2-3 years when the STM 2nd gen buses will sadly be all gone. At least, at the STL, we have at least like 4 years before they all get retired. I'll try to post more STL 2nd gen rides soon, i'm just busy with my new partime job lol.

Let's go !! 0408 ! That's what i'm talking about. I think you meant 744 Gare Sainte-Dorothée, no?, because it left Métro Côte-Vertu, so it would go to Gare Sainte-Dorothée. Also, what was the bus that was in front of 0408?

@@georges625 The other 2nd gen was 0710!, it’s in my STL community post. Also I’m pretty sure that it’s called the 744 Métro Côte-Vertu, at least that’s what Transit says. I could be wrong though.

@@StmTransit1966 Even on FleeStats, it does that with lines 713 and 744, by saying for example 713 Métro Cote-Vertu, even though it's literally leaving Métro Côte-Vertu.

@@StmTransit1966 Oh, wait, there would be a second explanation possible : maybe the bus was indeed on the 744 Métro Côte-Vertu, but as its last stop before going "En transit", but the only way to assure that is to ask you if the bus was filling or exiting passengers...

Yes! The 2nd oldest STL bus! (if we count 0402 which is inactive for over 3 weeks) It sounds way better inside! I really miss the STM’s ISC’s, they all retired too soon.

@@StmTransit1966 Man, the noise of the 0408 is godly, I love this aggressive noise. I think it's the loudest bus with 0402 lol. But, these two will NEVER beat the noise of the retired 9806. This bus was a beast.

Yesterday and today, 27-022 ran pretty much 12 hours each day. I'm happy that it's still running as we're in the summer, but i'm curious to see how long it'll still last...

I would assume that the only reason why 27-022 and 27-027 are still running considering that we are in the summer is that there are so many inactive Anjou buses, (mostly some 31-XXXs, 36-XXXs and 39-XXXs), that they have to run these 2 buses, even though they know that anyways they probably will be retired for the fall sadly. (I don't mind that all these 3nd and 4nd gen buses are inactive lol).
