dont honestly agree with these. id put Luke, DJ, Guile, Chun, Ken is the top 5 in no order and Akuma 6th tbh. Think long term that health is going to be an issue and people are going to realize as people get better, lower health is BIG DEAL in a game where execution is easy, and its practically almost a two touch game now. Damage isnt getting any lower lol

But yeah, Abel aside, Capcom's story telling is so bad I feel like you'd be hard pressed to find 50% of players at any event that could name any of the protagonists beyond Ryu. I certainly didn't know Alex or Rashid were considered protagonists. Even Luke who makes more sense is heavily overshadowed by John WorldTour.

Using tokidos ken result in the AUS tournament as a reason to rank him top 3 isn’t right. Its tokido thats why. The 2nd place was a modern Ed what does that mean? So tokido playing ken means he is good but the player is way better especially if the 2nd place is a modern ed

I still cannot and will not *EVER* get over the botched story art for SFV. It's so bad and this is the same artist that was behind the legendary art for Marvel vs Capcom. Even after all the fixes and future characters they still kept the art style that didn't even match the in-game models, what were they thinking

The hilarious part about SF4 Akuma is how he remained top tier despite getting nerfed in every single version after vanilla.

When I still played SFIV, Rufus was my favourite to play. He was fast, had easy enough moves to pull off and I found his character hilarious. I was in early secondary school at the time, though, so that may have coloured my opinion

Indicating that game characters becoming softer and that female game characters more modest might cause Juri to change is silly. Those qualities work for her, and as the rest of the industry takes a wrong turn, it's only going to make her even more of a standout.

I don’t understand why they keep making completely new characters, they have so many characters in cannon they’ve never used or characters they introduced and never used again. Abigail in sfv is a great example of introducing a character already in cannon. They should do Mike haggard for sure in my opinion. We need more big guys, hopefully one that isn’t a grappler. Too many female hot characters are being introduced. Need somebody who’s big and badass and hurts.

What's non-negotiable about Chun are those thighs

For me an interaction that sounds so cool to me is urien and bison or gill meeting bison. Hell bison is an enemy of most heroes and villains, even vega whos beneath him wants to possibly plot against bison too. Bison has beef with akuma too, he legit is a fun charecter to see interact with others due to him setting in stone so many important events

if the trade off for evil ryu being canon is hes weaker and less of a threat, he should just stay non-canon. whats the point if hes not going to stronger than ryu and make ppl speculate if hes stronger than some of the other powerhouses. takes all the fun out of his character. even if in the canon story ryu has control and evil ryu isnt a possibility anymore, i think evil ryu could work really well in a what if storyline, just fledge it out more, i wanna see ryu's journey going down this path, how he interacts with everyone and how it goes.

Kage felt like a different character when compared to Evil Ryu. Evil Ryu was filled with rage, where Kage felt like an edgy teen.

Zangief is still shit, those buffs do nothing against all his bad matchups… just listen to Snake talk about the character. Also, Guile was already top 5 in season 1, got buffed and his bad matchups got nerfed… he’s at the very least top 3. Blanka is also top 5. My list goes 1. Akuma 2. Guile 3. Rashid 4. Chun Li 5. Blanka 6. Luke/Ken idk

The next dlc for sf6 season two for year 2025 are gonna be: Menat ( with Egypt stage ), new young male character probably South American, Q ( That's the surprise ) and then Sakura ( cause she is a shoto and also the best ). 🌸

In the anime Evil Ryu was not as powerful as Ryu. There was a brief period of time where Evil Ryu was stronger. After Ryu learned the Super Fireball the regular Ryu was superior. Ryu would become too savage. Making it easier to defeat him for a strong opponent like Akuma.

For any character, some of the stuff you say is true, but I would add one extra thing probably the most important is the ability of each player. I don’t mean mentally either but even as myself playing the game I’m realizing my hands don’t move as quick as they wanted, my reflexes are not quite as good as good as I was earlier. I’m 45 now and I do notice stiffness because I do a lot of physical labor work, but that’s the point I’m getting to there’s a lot of variables beyond streetfighter itself that will dictate how people were approach any character but this one. From what I do with him, I find middle ground in my approach meter responsible to meter use situational. That’s probably how I gauge my use case with a as of now not necessarily trying to cash out every combo but when the time arises and I can get maximum damage for least amount of meter I definitely do so when there’s least amount of risk. That’s my balance at least.

characters I would LOVE to have back in SF6 in order of importance: 1.- Sakura: I had a 2D crush on her when I first saw her in SFA2 and I've always mained her (and ken) in every game she has appeared ever since, I really want her back. 2.- El fuerte: yes it's mostly because I'm mexican and I like an ACTUAL mexican character in the roster, don't get me wrong I like lily and T. hawk before her but design wise they're as Mexican as a taco shell, for those who don't know, taco shells does not exist in mexico, both other than that I actually liked his gameplay. 3.- Laura:....c'mon you know why, I'll take her over her brother sean at least. 4.- Dan: I just like the guy. if any of these make it back I'll be happy, I wouldn't mind new characters as well, I liked the newcomers specially aki, Jaime and Manon.
