Charlotte area has too many "no turn on red" for long lights. So, you can't really blame them
@RailRoadChaserNC
@RailRoadChaserNC 3 ай бұрын
Yes, some of the lights are long, but the reason for a "No Turn on Red" is because the road setup is not conducive for the safe operation of right-hand turns with conflicting traffic due to line of sight being blocked because of things like trees/shrubbery, buildings, right-of-way fixtures, etc. One place that should have a "No Turn on Red" sign that surprisingly does not have one yet is the intersection of W Morehead St and Wilkinson Blvd for travelers turning right to go west bound onto Wilkinson from Morehead. The bar/club at that intersection greatly obscures oncoming traffic from the left and due to that fact, I refuse to turn right on red and will wait for a green light.

Yeah They need more signage @ that new hope turn, at least more of a warning starting near Sake Express, Also As a side note, I still have yet to see me in any of these. That a plus. Finally Be on the look out for the Angry Birds Charger (Not me, just looks dope)

These videos are a testament to the saying, 'It's not you; it's everyone else on the road.' Idiots in cars compilation is proof that caution is key.

@ 3:12, the road beside of the pizza place, going straight across the intersection, is a great place to see people turning left failing to give the straight across the intersection traffic the right of way. Almost been hit there many times...

Your truck must hate you. Sure, don't even slow down for a railroad crossing. Your poor suspension bro.
@RailRoadChaserNC
@RailRoadChaserNC Жыл бұрын
Meh..., my truck is over 11 years old and I've only had to replace the control/arms and ball joints once (pot holes are more hard on my truck in all my travels). In all my years of driving around to watch trains, I've learned for most crossings, if there is no raised hump in the road bed at the crossing, you can actually glide over them with relative ease as long as 1) you have a vehicle that has high enough profile off the ground and 2) you position your vehicle to cross the RxR crossing over the "un-sunken" portion of the crossing where almost everyone else's tires do not cross at (which I usually just ride the solid white line on the right side of the road when going through the crossing.)

I saw many young drivers in small gray import cars use the breakdown lane on Billy Graham Parkway to pass, even when the traffic was going the speed limit. ( That itself is a rare thing).

Hi, First, I absolutely LOVE watching these. I truly see these types of things every day in the Charlotte and Gaston County area. Second, the very first scene in this video, is at the Black Ave-Rudisill Ave intersection in Cherryville. Since you follow trains a good deal, can you enlighten on the choice of where the trains decide to crew change and park their trains. I realize that through Cherryville this is the only sideline, but they often are so long that they block multiple crossings for days. Do you know if this is planned in advance? Or how long they are able to block the crossings? Just curious. But THANK YOU for all of your content. Being originally from Gastonia, love seeing your videos, my own little personal game of "where is this". :) Cheers.

Self control is definitely a must with the short fuse some other drivers have. One honk now-a-days seems to be enough to set someone off (even if they were a fault and know it) because of entitlement mindsets.

Yeah like the car going through the train crossing as the bars are going down shes a bad driver. Along with the coupleof people that almost caused collisions, but most of these people are disobeying traffic laws. Not really a big deal in my book unless they actually put anyone in danger. If this is the best content you got for bad drivers, you need to move to California to get more exciting footage.
