They do make a very cool car, but lack the technology of Tesla. Big difference.
@RollingWithRuss6 күн бұрын
Yea Tesla probably has way more money into their technology and more years of service to back up their data.

Do do your own oil and fuel filter changes? You can do fuel filter changes for way cheaper than $450 if you do them yourself. And that’s using Motorcraft filters.
@RollingWithRuss10 күн бұрын
Haven’t yet but am not opposed to it. That said, my first three changes were “free” included with the purchase of the truck, so I have yet to pay for a full service myself.

Thanks for the video! Is it possible to run a safety pin or two into each of the straps to keep them from extending on their own?

That is a good idea, and to be honest I’m not sure but I don’t see why that wouldn’t work.

Haha yea, I guess having 10 speeds and 3.31 gears probably helps quite a bit. But just remember you could by a few frontiers for the price of one of these trucks so rest at night knowing that haha

Thanks brother. Yea I love base trucks for some reason, just looks right to me. The new trucks have so many features anyways it’s like a fully loaded truck from 10 years ago in my opinion.

I got the same truck and love it. I too have sync issues with Apple CarPlay but it’s manageable for now. I get literally the same mileage as you at 4k miles

Sweet, glad you like the truck like I do. Overall I am a very happy owner given the mix of features and capability. Thanks for watching!
@shockinawesome959521 күн бұрын
love mine i got a xlt 250 crew cab long bed with the HO 6.7. Mine also did the instrument cluster turn off then it came back on but said the drive mode weren't available which made me pull over and restart the truck since I was towing and didn't want to lose town/haul. It hasn't done it since. Mine does the carplay thing but its different it will just have no audio but reconnecting it usually fixes it. One time it did just crash carplay every 45seconds to a minute no matter what I did but again it did it once on my way home from work and hasn't done it since.
@RollingWithRuss20 күн бұрын
Haha gotta love ford electronics. Fortunately these issues seem to be inconsistent for both you and I, but we’m glad you like your truck like I do! They are pretty awesome. Thanks for watching!
@Eric_Broome21 күн бұрын
From my experience using a new high quality usb cord makes a big difference with car play issues. I usually have to replace mine every 6 months or so because of disconnecting issues
@RollingWithRuss20 күн бұрын
Very valid point, that does really seem to help in my experience with my wife’s Honda CRV so I’m sure it would help here too.

It disconnects in the same places it something with pipelines or something interrupts ,i only use wired carplay
@RollingWithRuss20 күн бұрын
Hmm maybe - it usually happens on road trips where I am driving in a new place so I wouldn’t really know if it was pipelines.

I have a similar setup but in the lariet ultimate, the XL, XLTs will have more electric and leak issues. For two boys two under two and massive car seats and all this it makes up for what it lacks. I will delete it in another 10k miles. Also the mileage and range is great compared to gas trucks. I plan on getting a smaller older toyota 4 runner or a vintage pajero for daily without kids.
@Yeti57322 күн бұрын
WOW, $450 for fuel filters.....Do you take it to the dealer to change the fuel filters?
@carlvonfuckwits293422 күн бұрын
That's every 10k miles.
@RollingWithRuss21 күн бұрын
That’s for two filters and and oil change. But yes, either the dealer or a diesel shop. Luckily my first three services were included when I bought the truck so I have yet to pay, but next one’s on me.
@micahgregory700421 күн бұрын
@RollingWithRuss you cab buy the motorcraft fuel filter kit for about $75, oil filter for $25, and enough full synthetic Rotella T6 oil for about $75 and do it yourself.

Got to be hauling a lot of junk to pay for that new truck. You’re working for nothing for a very long time before you can put money away to invest. I would have kept the Tundra for awhile. Everybody does this because it’s easy. Will drive the prices down. Where I live there is only 1 dump. They charge $100/ton to dump. Wouldn’t make anything.

Great video thank you. Can you tell me what you are charging for dump trailer rental per day in 2024 and also for junk removal also considering multiple trips from same customer and more than one dump
@RollingWithRussАй бұрын
I would charge $275 base fee which includes delivery of the trailer for a 24 hour rental parked. That includes up to 1 ton of debris, anything over gets $110/ton overage fees. Additional days are $15/day. Hope that helps.
@PNW_Sportbike_LifeАй бұрын
I wouldn't even want to tow that with my ridge. It sucks at towing, but it is practical for a lot of things, and it's comfortable.

Yea it seems like it’s very handy for doing regular home stuff where you need a bed to haul mulch, bikes, dogs, etc. but not really the right setup for towing.

3,000lbs is kind of a light load, could probably get by doing loads like that with a 1500 gasser? Are a lot of your loads around this weight? I have a 7x14x4 14k Texas pride dump trailer and a 2019 Silverado 1500 lol
@RollingWithRussАй бұрын
Yea a lot of my loads are between 2-4K and a gasser 1500 can certainly do it no problem. It’s really my dirt work that gets heavy around 10k pounds so I got the diesel 350 for that stuff.
