Those mirrors are rock solid. I see a little vibration at idle, but the rest of it looks great. This bike looks smooth as glass. 700lbs isn’t bad for a big cruiser. Most everybody comments on how it handles. Yes, very torquey!

Thanks! Yeah, pulling the fairing off does add a little difficulty to it. I was on the fence, but so many people mentioned how the polyurethane bushings introduced vibration that they didn't feel prior, which was the last thing I wanted on long rides. Honestly, I've had the bike out twice now, and I think the movement feels the exact same as with the stock bars. I had purchased HD brand poly bushings, but I know several mentioned there's a difference just between the different brands. What did you like about the polyurethane over the stock ones?
@rollinstone1969

@@motorcycleden I had a problem where my bars moved when I pulled the bike backwards to get out of the garage. I thought it was the bars moving in the clamp, when I took the fairing off o could see the whole clamp rock (not a lot) so I replaced the bushings to try that. Been good since. And a little bonus is the bike is more responsive to bar input. I have a pic of the old bushings on my IG I think. The vibration is not enough to worry about to me.

Now im confused.. i watched a different video that said do not move, stay in line with the bike. Doesnt matter what the driver is doing just stay still. - he said imagine a large rock on the back of the back moving about, would be harder to control.. but you say lean with him? .. what do i doo?? 😫
@MrsDen
@MrsDen Ай бұрын
Always stay with your rider. Your shoulders should always line up with his. If he leans, you lean. You won’t be that big rock if you are leaning with him. If you need to move, tell him first. Need to adjust your legs, lean back, lean forward, tell him before you move and never do it in corners. If you are riding on a straight road, you can move but still check with him because he can see things you can’t. Maybe a corner is coming up, or there is something in the road he needs to get around. May I ask what video you are referring to? Maybe I can answer you better if I know exactly what the video says.

@MrsDen
@MrsDen Ай бұрын
Hello. What bike are you on? With a cruiser or sport touring bike, If you sit more upright, closer to him ( not lounging back against backrest) it’s easier to engage your legs to control sliding around, without wearing your legs out. Also keep your hands on his hips, you will feel him starting to move before you are actually moving. The more you ride the easier it is. Another thing-is he cleaning the seat? The cleaners do make it slippery and will calm down with time. Hope this helps. Let me know

@motorcycleden Ай бұрын
@kirkasplin776 I haven't ridden the '24 yet, but want to. I sat on the '24 Road Glide and it's more of a relaxed seating position than our 2020. I was wondering if they would change the Road Glide Limited for next year. A salesman at a local dealership said they are phasing out the limiteds. Not sure if that's true. I think he was trying to sell us a new Road Glide. Choosing between the two can be tough. We had an '18 UL and both styles are great bikes. With the Mrs, she said the airflow was better for her on the RGL.
@kirkasplin776
@kirkasplin776 Ай бұрын
@@motorcycleden wow I can't imagine them phasing them out. That'd be horrible. I was thinking maybe they'd change the RG Limited front end to the same as the 24 road glide. But the reason I'm waiting is more funds related 😄.
@motorcycleden
@motorcycleden Ай бұрын
@kirkasplin776 I was thinking the same thing, that Harley may change to the newer style RG & SG on the Limiteds. The one thing I think would happen is they do away with the Limiteds and then if someone wants the extras that came with them, they'd have to purchase it separately. You know how much more that would cost! When we looked at new RG, they were telling us the prices to add a trunk and other things. Let's just say it wasn't cheap.
@jonathandantonio649
@jonathandantonio649 25 күн бұрын
@kirkasplin776 The Ultra is the looker, but the RGL is the superior motorcycle. The fixed fairing makes handling better at all speeds, and at night it improves visibility in the corners noticeably as the headlight points straight ahead instead of turning with the bars as you counter steer and lean in. I have a '24; it's simply an awesome machine. I traded in a '19 Road King that had been my dream bike (and was nicely upgraded for comfort, performance, safety, and reliability) but now that I have the Limited there is simply no going back. I've ridden almost every bike that Harley makes (and have owned 4 M8 bikes) and I'd even take this over the Street Glide and Road Glide CVOs. Also, the upgraded Rockford Fosgate system is dynamite, if pricey. Get it if you can afford it.
