Hi Emma, new convert here❤ really like your style. Can you please share where you purchased the black door knob on door near loft mirror- just what I’m looking for.

How did you replace these windows one at a time? Anytime I get a quote, it’s always coupled with pressure to do more than one at a time.
@EmmaHill15 сағат бұрын
We purchased the windows separately to the installer. So we had 3 windows to be installed that we purchased online and then found an installer locally that we were happy with. We initially only asked them to come and quote for 1 window and didn't tell them we had others until we knew we were happy with the company we had chosen. Then after we had accepted the quote we discussed the other windows being done at a later stage. At this point the installer offered us a discount to get the second smaller window installed on the same day (which gave them a full day on the property) and agreed a later date for the large landing velux 👍

Hi Emma, Did you say in a video that you are 5'10 tall? Just curious because that will help me with your pant choices. Im tall and rarely find influencers who are tall suggesting things that work for me. Thanks.

Yes that is correct 👍

Hey Emma, I have been dying to redo our stairs and it's as if you plucked the exact aesthetic I could only dream of for my stairs and brought it to life - it looks beautiful. I am wondering whether you're planning on doing another cost rundown video for your projects, or if you would be willing to share how much a project like this would cost? Love watching your videos every week, they are my happy place! Take care :)
@EmmaHill16 сағат бұрын
The largest costs for this project were the Velux and the new stairs. We did manage to get a good deal on the Velux (black Friday and then had it sat in the utility until we were ready to install it) as well as a money back offer that Velux were running at the time but the window (as it is so large) still come in about £1500 (inc fitting). The stairs (inc fitting) come in at just over £2000, but this included the landing banister which again is quite large and the majority of homes won't require. The stair website linked below is really good for estimating a price as they list all the prices and lengths. They were also really helpful when we come to ordering and helping us make sure we had everything we needed. The rest of the costs are obviously cosmetic and will depend on what you opt for, but again we purchased the carpet back in November (Black Friday sales) and had it in the lounge until we were ready to install it. Hope that helps ❤️

Super helpful, and to be honest I was expecting quite a lot more for the stairs so you've done really well on balancing price and finish and it's definitely more achievable than I thought! I'll check out the link you've left and will keep all this info tucked away til after we've done our bathrooms! (we've been in our house for 7 years and it's taken us this long!). Thanks Emma ❤

We do have a finished home tour planned in the coming months but we have a few bits in the garden to finish first and wanted to include that - obviously the pool area won't have been finished but that's a project for another time 😆

Your hallway as well as all of your home is just beautifully decorated with so much taste! I was curious to know if this was your forever home? Could you even bare to leave it?
@EmmaHill2 күн бұрын
We would still love to be able to build our own home (it's the dream) but finding suitable locations/land etc proved very difficult, which is why we went for this fixer upper. I doubt this will be our forever home but we have definitely found an area that we love so wouldn't be looking to go far - although if the right opportunity come up, who knows 😆

So lovely, serene and restful on the eye. Love the black stair rails. I hadn't heard of the term colour drenching, but all of my favourite holiday let's I've stayed in i noticed employ this technique and being by the sea also make the whole house seem bright, airy and cohesive. I've started to do the same in my house ( small terrace ) and I absolutely love the transformation, I've used an off white in a hard wearing finish and everywhere looks so airy and restful. It helps my brain feel calm and less distracted ❤
