They may not have solved any of the issues that matter, but at least they solved all the problems nobody was having, like not having a big enough screen on their controller. So I'd be interested in this if they made it wired-only, shrank the screen, got rid of the LEDs, and fixed all the issues with basic controller function that you pointed out. In other words, if it was a completely different controller.

I totally agree with your review. I have the controller too. A really great thing would have been a touch menu. This would also solve the problem of active buttons during the game. In contrast to the Apex 4, the motion control is well usable and the sensitivity is good. The buttons, on the other hand, are disappointing again. There are a lot of good and bad things on the controller. So it probably only stays mid range over all.

Hey guys, I have a question. I am planning to use this gamepad in laptop. Does this gamepad give audio through its jak when it is connected via bluetooth? I have an xbox controller and I know that you have to connect them via cable to get audio from its jak output. If this gamepad can give audio through bluetooth or 2.4 usb connection I might buy it. Thanks.

Great review as always VK. I think displays on controllers are a gimmick and waste of money. All I need is a cool RGB LED light design with options for different colors and animations, don't need a display.

I purchased this controller and am disappointed in the analog sticks. They may have perfect circularity, however, that is only because the circle aggressively restricts the range of x|y input. On my controller both sticks register maximum input in all cardinal directions well before the stick hits the rim. How far away from the rim also differs based on direction; right and up are closer to the rim than left and down. I checked several of my other controllers and none of them had this issue, even the ones with garbage circularity. I picked up the Flydigi Vader 3 Pro and have been much happier with it.

There may be a setting in dolphin you can change for f-zero. Dolphin defaults to disabling dual core for some games like f-zero, metroid 2, and possibly others. Turn dual core on for f-zero and it will likely run better.

What on the hardwarevis different in the BTP-KP50A? I chan confirm, the keypad buttons are horrorable. And the fact, in case of customize the buttons during the game while the buttons are still active is it really hard to setup new configurations as long as the console is on.

Missed opportunity with the dongle not being used via dock pass through. Unshielded USB 3 is All too common in third party peripherals especially docks for things like handheld PC gaming devices. The pass-through allows a quick and easy escape from interference with the bonus of usually getting the dongle right out in the open with a clear line of sight to your controller.

anyone know how good the gyro is? i bought the armor x pro adapter for an xbox controller before and the gyro was almost useless for FPS aiming type stuff. i tried every setting combination and it would either drift too much or else not react to small movements. this controller seems to be ticking all the boxes for me so it would be great if the gyro was actually useable

Again with the horrible 4 back button placements. Do these manufacturers never learn? You need to be able to press all 4 buttons without lifting off another finger to reach another button in an awkward position!!

@@rinosurber7919 no it has nothing to do with handsize. It’s about being able to press all 4 buttons without taking a finger off as many games require multiple button presses at once for different things.

@@OfficialMyMindset hmmm...i push the shoulder with the index finger. The first back button with the middle and the other with the ring finger. I guess you use the middle finger on the trigger, right?

@@rinosurber7919 It doesn't matter I can play with my index on the bumpers/ring on triggers or just index for all of them. The issue still remains the same with back buttons. Ideally you want to be able to press all back buttons with different fingers to allow to do multiple button presses without lifting a finger. Crucial in some games.

I would have preferred to see them compared against Eneloop rechargeable AAs. Those are the current standard and they are so good that I am annoyed when electronics use built-in rechargeable battery packs that cannot be removed or are hard to remove. When devices use normal AA or AAA batteries, it's awesome because the Eneloop rechargables are so good. They even hold 70%+ of their charge over 7 years, solving one of the biggest problems we used to have with rechargeable batteries.

Still can't seem to get a straight answer for this, but does using MiSTer's HDMI port add any additional latency? Some Say 1 frame(16ms), some say you can adjust it to get it even lower, or there's some people saying it actually adds 1-3 frames of lag. Not interested in sticking with CRT anymore. I want to get a smaller 43" QD-LED (Samsung QN90D - 2024) and pair it with a MiSTer. Or worst case scenario, FPGA consoles with EverDrives.

it depends, on the TV brand and cable quality nothing will beat the latency of a CRT, modern TVs will always have some input lag to them

@@VKsChannel On average, seems like modern QD-OLED & LED TV's have around 10ms of lag at 60fps. For me, that's already enough latency, combined with a low latency controller. MiSTer seems better suited for CRT for lag-sticklers, where as FPGA consoles like the AVS, Super Nt, Mega SG & Duo should get the job done with modern displays since they are lag free over HDMI. Still no perfect solution! :P

have this controller for over 6 monts... let me tell u is better than the xbox x that i have, after 6 monts have stick drift on xbox controller, this one nothing , i play eafc24 on UT, so yeah this controller is used like 40-50 games a week, and still work perfect, no problem with him, only downside is u have to switch to xbox input every time u plug in, i use usb, but the cable from xbox... the one that u got DONT USE, is verry bad and my cable start burning.... so yes verry cheap matierial, unless that the noise is preatty louder, the button fell cheap but i dont mind it, but on 13 euro that i paid on aliexpress it worth every penny, i still wait to see how will work after 1 year, make sure after 5-6 months to clean the dust in the controller, its verry easy to aseembly back.

Kill me, but I prefer AA batteries or rechargeable kits to internal ones. Thats one of the reasons why I always prefered the xbox controllers rather than ps4 or ps5. If you had 4 rechargeable batteries, you had a pair always ready to switch mid game. With the ps4/5 you either have to go wired which can be uncomfortable or you need another controller altogether which is dumb. That combined with the bigger capacity gives you way longer gaming sessions. Not no mention it also makes the controller last longer, because you never will have to disassemble it in case the battery dies or goes bad.
