Hi Mark, just dropping in to see what you’re up to. I have been Keto/Ketovore for a while now. I make several variations in an ice cream maker but I just broke the paddle and need to get a new one. I just use heavy whipping cream-3 cups and either it is plain or with vanilla or I add raspberries and or blueberries and or strawberries that I thoroughly smash up with a fork. Or my mini food chopper. I put it in small containers for single servings. I also use sugar free chocolate syrup sometimes and/or instant coffee crystals. it's basically hot dogs mixed with potted meat not real ground beef. you know that right? yes kids will know the difference. it has a toughness rubber grittiness texture. definitely not worth trying to save a few dollars even if means buying the lowest grade 73/27% it's still better than flanders. find other ways to save money.

You living in cattle country is why they're only a little cheaper than 100% beef. Where I live, 4lbs of 1/4lb 100% beef patties cost almost $18, and the DG near me sells those same patties for the same price you paid.
