Congrats on the new job!! 🎉🎉 Also, baby wipes are quite good for pen marks on walls. Never tried it myself, but knew someone who swore by them cos her son was forever drawing all over the house!

Another Lister Star owner here. They make light work of my traditional cob's "yak" coat every 3 to 4 weeks. Very envious of your experienced technique.... I'm still learning and get awful tram-lines, despite sharp blades and a clean coat!! Will deffo try the coat spray trick next time! Lovely to see you with a smile on your face again. Stay strong, sweetie xxx

Again, I knew you'd smash it. Just watching this back again, and wanted to share a "bricking it" moment if I may - i have recently started doing XC... so maybe 7 or 8 times since lockdown over the last few months. I was feeling optimistic and entered myself for a Regional Riding Club ODE. So the day comes and I arrive at the yard, got the horse ready and was helping out at the event as it was our RC hosting. When it came time to get my mount ready, the first thing that happens is the zip breaks on my riding boot. I have what I can only describe as a massive panic attack. (oh yes, I was also running late due to struggling with the boot zip) when getting her ready. So after a very hurried warm up we enter the arena and do a very hurried version of the test. Then had to get to jumping warm up ring (my jumping time was quite close to my dressage time). I hopped off and popped martingale on the mare and back protector on myself.... thanks to lockdown the bloody thing wouldn't close! So struggled, eventually spotting a friend's boyfriend who kindly helped shoe-horn me into the back protector. Then the search for a jumping whip ensues... can't find that.... hurriedly borrow a friend's whip and head to the warm up arena. Again, a quick warm up and into the jumping field. She was picking up on my nerves and was going a tad too quick to some of the fences so had those down... not so bad, get out of the arena, give her a big pat and untack her, let her have a drink etc. Changed into XC top and taped up said riding boot. Then horse starts bucking and bolting in the XC warm up - getting excited watching other horses jumping nearby fences etc. Once out on the XC popped the first fence fine, she bloody slid to a stop at the second and I parted company, picked myself back off the ground and did the walk of shame back to the yard so I wouldn't be in anyone else's way. Kinda left feeling annoyed with myself and more nervous than before of XC. On the plus side, I've had a schooling session since which went quite well and am trying again on Sunday (Sept 6) a 2 phase - showjumping/xc. Anyway, I think the point was that you do inspire me to keep going when really, I'd feel like not wanting to try again etc. Here's hoping this time goes better. Sorry for going on so long :/ x

Do you know how to remove the side panels? and what wood is best to replace? Does the roof have to come off? Thanks

That dressage was so harshly marked! Though equally sometimes it happens where the judge just doesn’t like the horse I guess. But you and pea look awesome and I can’t wait to see the rest of your event season now!!!

I agree that your test was harshly marked in the wrong places, almost like you got the wrong test sheet back! It was a very sweet, consistent test
