This happened to me and i got rid of it by lowering my refresh rate down to (72Hrz) on the oculus software

@@dodidjaguar it is a known issue with quest i will make a video how to fix it today actually, The quest wants more data than the cable can give causing this to happen. There is something called "tray tool" that u can install on the web where u can set your bitrate and stuff lower. Don't worry everything will look the exact same u just won't have the issue with the line anymore :)

Its a graphics card issue it can happen if youre pc doesnt supply enough power or you have loose pins

This is happening to me now using a 3rd party link cable. So i bought the expensive official link cable and still the same issue. Ifact, the official link cble is rubbish and falls out all the time anyway. What in earth has caused this? I won't be putting up for it much longer as getting an HP Reverb G2 next week so F U Meta for not dealing with this problem which is clearly an issue. Ridiculous.

This white stripe occurs because of a error that happens during the 5th slice in encoding. there is a workaround to this and that is to change slicing from 5 to 1. it has zero impact on performance. had this issue, and found a fix that i am 99% sure works, at least it seems to have worked for me. open oculus debug tool. go to encode bitrate and set that to 280 go to the top of the app, click service, and restart oculus service.

i'm almost sure this is a memory management/vram issue. It only happens to me when I max out VRAM in VRChat and go into shared GPU memory. you guys need to make them more aware of this issue by making separate threads, tickets, and social media posts. it doesn't help commenting on the posts that they're ignoring (like that related meta forum page with 90+ pages)

I'm using a 3090 with 24gb vram. so that's not the reason. it's about nvenc encoder (or decoder on quest)

Mine developed this also. Meta knows about it and does nothing. Never going to buy or recommend Meta products in the future. I'm in the market for a new headset.

Are you link connected with 120hz enabled? So far 90hz is working better for me and it's a 2080ti. Link gets 2.4gb bandwidth as well.

@@aparou647 no unfortunately all I know is that u can either degrade to an old version of the oculus app or contact oculus and they will update the app on your computer. Pretty sure there’s a tutorial to downgrade to an old version of the app

@@DirtBike101 I just deal with only using AirLink now. It sucks because it's not as reliable for iRacing but that's all I can do. I did get a reply to a reddit post saying to "set encode resolution to anything under 3900 in the Oculus debug tool, but I've not tried it

@@DirtBike101 I use a CV1 now, but I'd suggest to set the encode resolution to 0 in the debug tool and lower your render resolution in the Oculus PC app

@@SisterPain I realized much later on that overclocking my GPU causes the white stripe bug. I believed that when I mentioned lowering the render resolution, I was thinking that it would put less stress on the GPU's encoder.

Same problem here, I made the mistake to accept the refurbished visor. Nothing changed and I'm still having kind emails with a lot of oculus suppot guys, unfortunately cycling thru the same useless "tests" on hardware. Thanks for sharing this video

I liked this because I have this too and I dont like it! Well done for capturing this. Everyone, do the usual youtube things (3 interactions with the video - like comment, subscribe or respond to poll games the algorithm. See 'spiffing brits' video on it) i hope that this will alert the algoritm and make some pressure to get this fixed!

@ I can confirm that the workaround (Dowgrading to V23) is in fact working since I've played for 6 weeks now without the white stripe appearing. So it is definately an Occulus Software issue and the developers fail to adress this even after 2 years.

Pěkný, škoda že toto je leteckým modelářům omezováno nesmyslným omezením výkonu vtx 25mW. Přitom už i 200mW je daleko praktičtější mimo město. Hold modelařina s RC letadli si může nechad jen zdát o FPV aby mohli lítat legálně s vyšším výkonem vtx :-(:-(:-( Hold komerční drony budou mít zelenou a děti budou radši sedět u PC na simulátoru :-(:-(:-( Než aby se báli že model rozbíjí při překročení 130m od sebe....

Naprostá pecka. Když se může jezdit F1 nebo RedBull Air Race kde je spotřeba paliva naprosto brutální (nepočítam emise) , proč by se nechytil závod dronů. Sport je to taky. Když můžou "modelky simulanti" ve fotbalu vydělávat miliony, proč by nemohl člověk s talentem a dronem za pár tisíc ne ? Taky je to umění. Málokdo ten dron udrží ve vzduchu. Natož lítat akrobacii nebo nějakou trať. Fandim tomu

Přemýšlej než něco napíšeš.. Ten co to ovládá v tom nesedí...je to nemožné.. Takže ano..toto je letoun (na velikosti nezáleží) bez pilota..tedy dron stejně jako dron americké armády který je skoro velký jako malá stíhačka :D
