Those were pretty politely hostile considering ... not quite "Karen" levels like is being alleged. If it private property you do have to follow the rules. It is reasonable to ask for the permission slips or badges or whatever. In some states for example you MUST present these to hunt even if granted verbal permission. Protects all the way around. Usually also by having them you have to agree to lack of liability etc and that is SUPER important in this litigious society now.
