Now you don't even get a choice. You pretty much have to work all the time. There's no such thing as sleeping 8 hours anymore, not with the way the economy is. And if you want to be able to afford rent and an apartment, I'm 24 years old with a Bachelor's degree in graphic design. Eight years of graphic design experience, and even after going through college, getting my degree and job searching for 3 years. the only job I was able to get was working at a custom t-shirt shop in mall, where I'm being paid below minimum wage. College was a complete scam and waste of time, and if I could tell anyone anything, it's please don't go to college. It's a waste of your time. But even now, I don't even get 8 hours of sleep. I don't have a car because I can't afford it. I can't even afford to move out from my parents. I not only work 40 hours a week at my job, but every night when I come home at 8 PM, I work all the way up to 2 AM on my own business online and still can't afford an apartment, a car, or any of the things that people told me I was supposed to already have by the time I was an adult. And even if I were to get a whole other job, getting three jobs, working three jobs at once, I guarantee I probably still wouldn't have enough. That's how terrible the economy is right now. Even with my girlfriend's combined income, we can't afford to move out together. So that just shows how terrible things are right now. I'm hoping all of that changes next year when Trump is in office. But I know that this is going to take a long time to fix. And even then, my generation is still screwed because I already know that by the time I'm 60, I'm still not going to be able to retire. Hell, retirement is out of the books for me. Everybody has said it about my generation. Like everyone is telling my generation, pretty much, 'Yeah, you've been screwed over. You're not going to be able to retire with social security and all the stuff going on.' It's just not happening. So yeah, looks like I'm going to be working my ass off until I die. Gotta love the USA, land of the dead American dream🙃 🪦⚰️🇺🇸
