@@JWFabrication1 I used to be into Classic English cars like, Healey's, Mini's etc. and a 1958 Sprite would have zero rust compared to that van. I have the same van and am doing the rust sections ATM. I think you would be jealous of the current state of the panels, rails and skins which are near perfect. Everyone loves these vans, especially the MK6 (VH-VJ). However, owners NEVER get rid of them because of rust. How bazar. I would have a plastic car with all that salt on European and American roads. Rather than worry about the paint work. the money should go into total rust proofing the entire underbody and foam-fill ALL cavities, including lanolin or Wax oil. ALL Ozzie cars suffer terribly from weathering and sun damage. Clear-coat can break down in five years. But is a lot easier, but just as expensive, as rust. My hat off to you sir!

got camping holiday photos somewhere, it was a plain white works van, but it had [bus] coach seats, RS dash, stereo radio cassette, straight out side-pipe, brand new custom interior, new shape wheels + tyres, [basically I "swapped" everything off a nearly new minibus] i panelled it out with 7 hidden 5 gallon drums of petrol plumbed up, + a 20 gallon long range tank underneath, as those twin webers were thirsty bastards, but the speedo used to go round + start again... [BBB 142V, 18MPG or 100MPH, it sadly died in 1989] best holiday us + our friends ever had, 1000 miles all over england for a fortnight, cost us a fiver for petrol to get the last few miles home... [+ i got to see my mates girlfriend with her kit off...]@@JWFabrication1
