Hi, my Wii has a black screen could you give me like tips on how to fix a black screen like instructions about changing the chip that you did on the video?

Mine will not even turn on at all. I've checked the PSU which has 12V on both connectors. From the 2 pin PSU + to the Copper edge ring around the board I get continuity only for a second and then it disappears. I'm not sure if this means it's shorted or not so I tested it for power and have 12V+ ... any suggestions on next steps?

So I opened mine up and the fan moves then stops then moves then stop do I replace the fan or can it be another issue?

You showed the exact thing i needed, where the slider has to be in relation to the cogs. Sorted my issue and saved a repair bill.

My son’s Xbox just died. It won’t turn on … nothing lights up. I disassembled it and the power supply has 12V across the 2 pin jumper and from Grey/Black on the larger connector. I’m not sure what else to check next … do I try to find this IC or is there something else you’d check next?

Try turning off TV first and then turning Xbox back on while the TV is off.

If anyone thinks it can be only one shorted cap, this is not true. I sometimes find two of them shorted or almost shorted. If you have new caps, change all 4 of them. Careful about their voltage.
