Just found this, Josh Caspari's best friend who helped him do all of this. Is out walking around town, and it is infuriating. We talk about this all the time around here how the accomplice Cody A is scott free... was trying to find the ID DOCUMENTARY to show someone the story but sent them this instead.

Beth you are from North Carolina, you might be interested to know Robert Baker is also from North Carolina. He is from Fayetteville. I went to elementary school with him all the way through High School at Westover High School in Fayetteville. Despite all that and going to school that long with him, we were just more acquaintances not close friends. Both of our fathers were in the Army stationed at Fort Bragg. Robert is mixed race. His father is black and his Mom German I believe. Rob ended up pleading no contest and was sentenced in July 2023 to life in prison. Monica is to be tried in April 2024. I was aware of his charges but had honestly forgotten about it until last night when another classmate sent me a photo from our 20 year class reunion when it had me and him in it along with Robert. The photo was taken in 2001. It was the first and only time I saw Robert since 1981 when we graduated High School.

I can't get my head around the money on the steering wheel..if the old guy was involved, why wouldn't he have removed the money before the police came? Not that l think the old guy is innocent but that detail about the money baffles me. Are we sure the friend who Caleb said he was visiting, wasn't lying when he said he had no plans with Caleb that night?

Hey there lovely ladies! This was a really awesome story to broadcast. I enjoyed how you all went thru the fine details of what happened and how this disgusting freak was finally brought down. I've followed this case for many years. As to how it's so well known, there was a film made in 1993 called "Nightmare in Columbia County"... aka in other countries, "Victim of Beauty". The main character is the older sister, Dawn Smith. She is played by Jeri Ryan, which was her first role and put her on the map. She's since played well known character "Seven of Nine" in several of the Star Trek series. She's quite gifted. You ought to check it out. It's available on a few different film platforms. Thanks again for a great podcast! :)

Stacy is a confirmed liar and self serving psycho and DID later say Todd never confessed to the Chicago tribune in 2004 and the New Yorker in 2009, now she’s back to he confessed but in a different conversation in which she originally said he confessed and she SHOULD rot in hell, the neighbor’s testimony was sketch, the science behind the arson evidence has been determined to be junk, Webb, the jailhouse snitch was made promises of early parole for his testimony and the prosecutor was accused of misconduct. He was innocent and murdered by the state of Texas. You have no evidence Todd ever beat Stacy but pass it off as truth. Even the crooked prosecutor admitted to not being able to make sense of ANYTHING she said. This is horrible. I would be embarrassed of this and take it down. This wasn’t thoroughly researched

I saw that too, but it was in the form of a new, changed identity. From what I've read, he supposedly changed his name to John W. Barber. I Looked up this John W. Barber on Been Verified, and he was deceased. His birthdate was an exact match to that of Jamie Savage. This John W. Barber was described as living in MN during the latter part of his life. I think Louie is still incarcerated, being denied his first parole several years ago. Hopefully, he'll remain incarcerated for the rest of his life (albeit he should've gotten the death penalty). Truth be known, Jamie shouldn't have gotten off as easily as he did. The book about this is very informative. Good read.

We went LIVE on KZfaq for our 3rd Podaversary. If you missed it, here is the episode we recorded! We come at you with two cases. First up: Blanche Monnier was a beautiful young woman in France, who fell in love with a "penniless lawyer", according to her mother. She was locked in a room for 25 years to deter her from marrying this man. What police find, when they are informed of this horrific occurrence, is awful. Months of searching lead to nothing but then a serial killer enters the picture. Justice was served for Sara and an evil monster was taken off the streets. But Sara will forever be missed. So I have been looking for a good true crime podcast to watch and came across you guys on Spotify. I think you have chosen a great story to share here but there is a huge problem with your delivery. You are talking about a murdered child and couldn’t stop laughing. I don’t usually post in the comments but I was so frustrated listening to laughter in the middle of such a tragic story.
@crimesclosets8597 Жыл бұрын
Hi! Thank you for giving us a listen. I completely understand what you are saying. And you are right. I would just like to note, that we never laugh at the victims or the crime, we do not think it’s funny at all. At times we can be a little more light hearted than we should be, and I think it’s almost a mechanism for getting through the story at times. We are sorry if it offended you!
@cassijeanmarie Жыл бұрын
I completely understand I also tend to laugh during situations where I’m uncomfortable but just felt that especially during a cast about such a young person there should have been a little less laughter! I think I’ll keep giving your guys podcast a try I just wanted to say something.
