How would you feel about a NRX+ inshore 6'6 med/light rod that throws 3/16oz lures. Would that be good with small topwater poppers and small jerkbaits small crankbaits. Just hard baits in general. Is this consistent with BFS.

Ok -- I just unboxed the rod -- I'll be posting something soon on my channel ... but wow... this is gorgeous ... that cross wrapped carbon on the grip is incredible ... and overall construction is top ... I only wish they also made this in a 5'-6" ... that would be stellar... going to try to fish it this weekend but the temps are really starting to turn here even in Salt Lake City... for the love. Just got into BFS a little while ago and got addicted to it. Bunch of rods and reels, probably spend more money on BFS than I had spend on conventional bass. I do have a Dark Wolf, bur Gen 2, curious about the upgrade (ball bearings , brakes..?). I'll waiting on the video of the Dark Wolf up grade. Thank you for all the good information

I’m able to cast a 1 gram trout magnet with the stock spool. Does the avail spool really makes a difference? It does make a big difference in the 2016 model as far as accuracy.

Hedge hog has a screw to replace the black screw on the brake dial that makes it look alittle better, I put a gunmetal one on mine. But they come in a bunch of different colors. They also have other dress parts like anodized aluminum level wind tube and level wind cap. I do not recommend getting either of those, I did and the design is not good. I ended up putting those stock parts back on because they worked better.

My experience with the Hyper Micro is that it is quite good at very low weights (sub 2 g). Definitely comparable to my 16 Aldebaran BFS. Another KZfaqr did a shoot out with a large number of BFS reels and the only two which out performed the Hyper Micro were the 22 and 16 Aldebaran.
