I have one, with no training, she ate all the flies, she liked to hunt rats and birds, unfortunately the birds that landed in our garden was killed by her. Amazing dog, beautiful and calm.

Thank you, We (waterfowlers not just shooters) need more examples of hunting like this video. Low key and more about "hunting" than a party blind gangbanging every duck that comes in. Good job!

They have great swimming ability. You underestimate them. They are the best birds dogs due to their ability to get under the brush and quickness.

You can do everything right but when the birds don't want to play that's not your fault. They are called wildfowel for a reason lol

Home, ill today ... rewatching this video ... our season wrapped a few weeks ago and now have to wait until next year. I'm also sitting here thinking ... do I need a few more Gadwell dekes ... 🤔 ... I believe I do. More research needed though ...

As long as the water isn't too cold or "Big", Field Cockers work great on ducks. Especially walking along waterways upland hunting where a duck might get jumped. These little guys are all heart.

Take the spinner out and set all of your decoys further up wind instead of running a string down. They will stop short of the decoys more times than not

You probably would have been better off with no spinner in that scenario, especially with so many ducks already being on that pond, most likely hurt more than it helped

We pulled it pretty early into the hunt. Unfortunately, our wind was the ultimate problem, the birds would often approach from behind, and were forced upward because of the rock formation and see us from directly above. Regardless, it was a highly successful hunt that we’ll never forget.

Early 90's when I was in the Navy we would run across the pass to Moses Lake and hammer the Mallards late season. It was $18 a night for four of us in the local hotel. Great times!

I had the pleasure a few years ago to visit and hunt Eastern Washington. I fell in love with it immediately. It's wide open steppes, the unbelievably friendly people, it's Feel Free To Hunt zones, snowy pot holes loaded with Mallards. I can't wait to visit again. Much love from a Southern boy ✌️🍻
