I really enjoyed going on this adventure with you. Great terrain and lovely figures, and of course your infectious enthusiasm. Delighted to get a guy named after me, even if he did not really get going. But that is part of the fun of this system, characters and stories create themselves. Will have to do some solo battle companies myself this summer.

Thank you for this second season. Your Videos are very well structured und clearly commentated. I enjoy them a lot! I'm looking forward to the next season!

This was a great finale for the season. I can only imagine the work that goes into filming and playing out these battles, thank you for sharing them with us. Perhaps they weren't filmed, but I think you forgot Jeremia'el's Blademaster reroll on several of the rounds against Michael'ier. That being said, you have so many different rules and characters to remember, it is understandable, and sick besides! I hope you are feeling better and recovering. Take care and be well. I think I speak for all you fans, we are eager for the next season.

What a way to end this season. It was very close for both fights, and i can't wait for future videos. Although i have to ask about the courage for gondor, they get a plus one buff on their courage. I dont know if you add the army buffs for this season, though. Still a very good video.

This was a great finale! For your question on the orc it says the model must back up a full inch and so if the model can't back up a full inch then they are trapped. It is up to you how you play though.

Been a fun ride :) looking forward to more! If i may make a suggestion, next one should be a battle of alliances :) like Erebor and Dale, Men of the West, things like that. Have to adapt to some pretty different movements and equipment synergies. Trickier for the bad guys, but there are still things like black Númenorians with orcs, or orca and undead, things like that

Some ideas for next season: Shire, Ithilien, Osgiliath or Rohan campain. And maybe utilize more of the gear you can buy from the armoury to set appart the different companies. I'm hoping I'll get an avatar again next season, especially if Isengard is joining the fray. It made it much more engaging (watching either way though).

FOR GONDOR!!!!! What an amazing series and production you put together Magnus. You really saved the best for last. Your enthusiasm was off the chart for the finale. Enjoy some time off, you’ve earned it. We will be here when you swing back into action. Can’t wait to see what you have in store for us next.

I think these are the only videos I consistently watch each time they are released. Looking forward to seeing what else you have planned in the future :) more seasons of battle companies, narrative stuff, other games, who knows.

21:23 I would rule the model is Trapped. From the view provided, I do not see a way for the Orc to a move a full 1” away in a straight line. The Orc near him is engaged and cannot make way. Also note, when backing away, you cannot end in base to base with an enemy. If so, you are still considered trapped.

What an interesting senario, my team did very well today. I was just wondering, but I believe when we killed murfus the Spider, he has the 5+ hero upgrade, but I dont know if that is right.

Well it started badly for the orcs when my guy got killed in the first turn. It kept getting worse, then I thought our fortune was turning at one point, but it went badly again. Oh dear. Another good watch, cheers.

That was a great couple of battles, I was really wanting the Balrog to win and cheered every time he rolled a six for combat, In the game against the good forces the Balrog managed to survive two rounds where he lost the fight and did not take any wounds, key moment. The Balrog needs to survive long enough to chip away at the numbers until gaps start to appear. I would have used the double handed weapon option against the Balrog. I think the plus one to wound is more important than getting some extra rolls to win the fight when there were so many in combat. You normally use the double handed weapon option so that was a bit of a surprise.

Wow the balrog is a monster! It's easy to forget how hard he is to actually kill, I think the only reason he's 350 points is because in most scenarios you can just put a bunch of cheap warriors in his way to slow him down whilst you use your stronger models to go after whatever the objective is. You actually could have made him even more dangerous! His fight value is so high that he can use the feint special strike with no risk at all which would let him reroll 1s to wound 😅 Looking forward to next week 😊

Dimantir got an old battle wound from fighting a Balrog. The boys at the tavern are never going to believe him. Anyway, great job on customizing and painting that Balrog!

Before I finish the video, I wanted to post my thoughts about the Balrog. I think he, along with other big models like dragons and Sauron, are overcosted in a regular objective based game. The issue is, they are so easy to pin down and ignore. If you are playing a 500 point game, then you can just throw one sacrificial mini per turn at the balrog while you run away and do the objectives. So each turn you are spending less than 10pts to tie up a 300 point model. It's so easy to tarpit them, especially since the balrog doesn't have might. They are hard to kill, but easy to surround, so you need to support them a lot. Honestly, I don't end up taking them most of the time for the above reasons.

33:39 fun little note here, when you spend a point of Might to Wound, it applies to both dice rolls. So if you need a 6/4 and roll a 5 on the initial. You will spend Might to make it a 6. This also mean you would only need a 3 on the subsequent roll as the same Might point applies there!

This episode was very cool and creative on your part. I would love to see a painting tutorial for the bolrog.

Oof, Osgiliath had no luck on their side. My man Dimantir did drag out 1 kill and managed to get out unscaved though. Very tempted to start a Serpent Horde force, even though I have nothing painted.

Loved it as always. Osgiliath had such a rough game, they seemed like the couldn't roll to save their lives. I almost felt bad for them. Almost. 😁 I also realized, I don't really understand most of the heroic actions. I get the heroic march, a move out of sequence can be clutch. The heroic shooting and attack I'm a bit lost on though. Is it just shooting and fighting out of sequence? Or is there something more than that? The situations where it is an advantage to shoot or fight out of sequence seem . . . limited? I've very new to the game though and so I could be way off. Am I missing something? Are they more useful than my impression of them?

Very cool to see my Ranger avatar 'Dimantir' do a decent job, getting 2 kills with his bow and not dying. Looks wise Gondor Rangers have always been my favourite unit, very pleased with my avatar.

what a bad day for my Orc lads. Good job you gave them four extra bodies at the start of the game or it would have been even more of a wipeout. Good idea of yours to balance the forces like that. Lets talk Orc, my guy is struggling with only one attack although the 2 might help. I was surprised that my orcs did not not get an upgrade for 4 or 5, looked it up and only the archer gets an upgrade to a tracker. I have not checked all the companies, but it does seem a bit rough. Looked at the coffee thing but I don't like giving out my bank details, sorry.

I was surprised by the low kill count in both battles. Rather like some hockey games. In your experience, are the low scores typical for this scenario? Or was it more how the dice were rolling?

Epic fight and great to see. Plenty of opportunity for hero moments and you delivered. Seems like a very fund scenario. A new spider for Cirith Ungol is going to make for some incredibly entertaining shenanigans. Looking forward to it.

very impressed with that mountain and the columns. That spider must be a spawn of the creature from the Silmarillion (you know which spider I mean Ungoliath or some other spelling).
