As a former employee of HP (Standford Park, HP Labs, YHP), I say the core of the Old HP lives on in the Instrument side. The computer/PRINTER SIDE wrongfully got to keep the Name HP. THE SPRIT AND SOUL OF HP STILL LIVES ON IN THE INSTRUMENT SIDE OF THE BUSINESS! This is where you will find the HP Way! What is called HP now is basically an Ink Company Company. After Bill And Dave retired, only Lou Platt able to be an effective CEO. The only failure of Bill and Dave was not being able to groom their replacement, John Young should have been but it didn’t work out.
