Suppose I have a customer database with 100 customers and one is Mary Jones. I have seen a hubspot demo where it shows customer activity on the website eg that on Tuesday 4pm your customer Mary Jones visited your Home page and Contact page. Is the tracking code sufficient for this? How would hubspot identify this website visitor as Mary Jones?

So i have a question what is difference between middleware and api...like what is the difference between oracle data integration and oracle fusion middleware and oracle soa

I'm not able to comment on Oracle's products specifically but I can certainly comment on the difference between middleware and an API. Middleware is software that uses APIs. The middleware will receive information from one platform's API, process that data and then send the output to another platform's API. APIs are just an interface for code to send information to trigger something in software.

@@serge8317 By 'Session Layer', I assume you're referring to the OSI model? I'm not an expert in that particular model but I would probably consider middleware to exist in the 'transport layer' because it's primarily focussed on moving data between systems.

@@spotdev Yes I’m referring to the OSI Model. Thank you for clarifying. I’m currently working as Junior SE (Linux) and got introduced to IBM MQ which is a middleware. I don’t have a lot of knowledge for middleware. I found you through searching on KZfaq.
