As well as the fact, it followed the G-String Old Blue and Silver, which the distinct V on the front of the engine. Reminds me of the old Metro north scheme, bought back in a heritage, and the numbers and font match the old scheme

It almost has a reverse dual tone look to the original p32dm scheme when they showed up in the late 90s, was hoping that would be the final scheme

This is a beautiful paint scenes of the empire state MTA metro North railroad. I definitely wanna see the black penn central system black and white letters just like the older FL9S had.

Have to disagree with the narrator's comment that to be a conductor you don't need to have any specific skill ( 3:35). You need to be able to, at least, read and comprehend what you are reading, speak clearly, be able to perform basic math computations, and write on a high school level. For freight service, IIRC, you should have enough physical strength to lift a coupler knuckle.

Amazing i cant believe i hired out 40 years ago sep. 1983. Where the hell did time go? Good god the memories seeing what was compared to what it. Sadly a trip and fall in Hm Yard ended my dream conductor job with a disability from the railroad in 1997 but for my almost 15 years I cherished my job and was damn honored and proud to wear my blues walk the isles or sport the work boots jeans and work combo. I was honored to work with the best of the best with my brothers and sisters both conductors and engineers. The railroad was my 2nd family. Eddie barra

Where’s the heritage love on Island. ??? What gives. The LIRR gets no love from showing off some history.. maybe try paying some homage to the Pennsylvania railroad, or some 64 Worlds fair paint sceme on the disgusting yellow and blue DE/DM something or an effort would instill some pride within the workforce ! Yikes. Wake up people ! The paint sceme sucks. Especially on the work engines sw 1500
