Dude I feel you. I bought the game on release and just finally beat it for the first time earlier this year. That's 5 YEARS to beat this damn game haha. There were obviously breaks and restarts--got my ass whooped I just had to put it down repeatedly. Idk what happened this year but started a new save and just ended up steam rolling it in places where I used to have so much trouble. Fought all optional bosses too. Making my way through 2nd playthrough now. Something just finally clicked. Finally caught the vibe for Sekiro the Sword Rhythm Remix 😎 These 18min runs tho. Sheesh...

why do speedrunners always agonize about their run while they set new records? it's always "ugh i hate runs like this, this run is dogwater" even though every split is green, i don't get it.

when you’ve been running a game for a long time it’s hard not to chase perfection, and when things don’t go your way it can be frustrating. i think a lot of it comes down to runners having high standards for themselves.
