Wonderful to hear my Fathers voice again, I have been looking for this interview for a long time. My Father loved his Waziri tribesmen bodyguard, gave many presentations of his time there as an unarmed British Army Officer trying to police the frontier during the massive upheaval of partition when religious genocide was the issue at hand. Very inciteful and probing questions concerning the tribes, some bad guys some not so bad guys, Andrew put political ideas to Dad that might not have occurred to him, but no evidence found by someone on the ground at the time, only a picture of general lawlessness, just the usual sad human response to grab something for nothing when the opportunity is given. Some classic comments though 'one Nun looks very much like another', what did the tribes call them 'Junglies', sorry, no Jihadis then.
