I bought 1 of these XJ900 Yamahas brand new in Brisbane Queensland Australia back in 87 it's definitely not an early 90s model they became a 900 diversion by the early 90s it's definitely an 87 model

In the US, the 1980 Suzuki GS550E did not include front dual disc, or the slotted rotor in the rear. I see the seat is also different. Hmm, now I am curious of any other changes.

It's not a twin, it's single-cylinder, with twin exhausts to make it look like one.

Cool bike👍 Mine has got 50 000 km. mileage and I've just returned from journey to sea- 1600 km in each side. I've rode back way in one set, in 22 hours. So, I've exceeded an Iron Butt standard by two hours! Not bad for 31 years old bike) And there were some offroad areas, of course.

Lovley little thing! Best thing to do on these, when you get it home is tighten the cam chain adjuster. Very simple just a 10mm spanner needed
