7:24 ... mustache compliments! That's funny...I was with fridnds in Istanbul in 2019 and I was sporting (aka affecting) a pencil mustache and was surprised at the compliments I got! 🤣

Really interesting. Thanks. I would have put sound deadening on the wheel arches for sure. Even though they will be covered. Also, would never have put the wooden floor straight onto the vehicle metal just because there is no give for vibration or movement. The insulation is not only about the heat/cold, but also acts as absorption for vibration of the car. Less chance of rattling when moving, as well as prolonging the life of the build on top (joints, seals etc). Good to see though, how different people do their builds. Look forward to the next video.

interested in how you managed to get the new poptop latches. Our conversion was done by an Ironman dealer in June and we ended up with the old latches. (both of which have broken already)

Ivan from Peak Off-road has been using the new latches since Jan this year. He made a video on his KZfaq channel on Jan 1st explaining why they’ve stopped using the old ones. I think you can buy the new latches from him. I’ll leave the website here. Ivan is super useful with any Alu-Cab stuff. I had a great experience going through his shop. www.peakoffroad.com.au

We just did some blackout fabric with magnets in to clip onto the metal around the windows. Works well. Awesome setup!

It’s probably a 3 hour drive from Guatemala City .. cost depends on how you get there, if it’s a chicken bus to Pt San Jose way cheaper but dangerous as those buses drive recklessly.. best to get a shuttle

Can I ask if there was anywhere major closed or any streets shut off following the earthquake? We are going at the end of Jan and just wondering if you need to allow any extra time for getting anywhere due to any rebuilding, or anything else to know..

Hey! The damage in Marrakech was very limited in comparison to the Atlas Mountains region, which was badly hit. Our trip wasn't impacted at all, except for the roof terrace of our Riad being damaged. No tourist attractions were closed. We saw a bit of rubble down side streets, but that's about it. Would strongly encourage you to go!

Have the best time! The food was delicious and we would strongly encourage that you'll need the carbs with all the exercise and the altitude. If not, just pack your own food 👍
