The chemistry in this cast is one of so many reasons this series is still so popular even in 2024!

Always loved this show. Some of these comeback lines are pure gold. My only surprise when watching this clip was to see how truly funny and witty John Davidson is. Almost fell out when he said, "Well, on the whole..."

That *Hitler-Toothbrush moustache* in the picture of them catch the naive and foolish Young Man, after he has just undergone his first experience of going through *The Fall* - sheer, *Visionary* Genius, expressed simply through Master-Clowning, and a allegedly *spontaneous* performance-piece of impromptu Street-Theatre; (Performed right in the middle of an invitation-only TV-Industry insiders-only National *Press-Conference!* )

It is interesting most series become dated as time goes on, but the Prisoner series gets more relevant in the U.K. as the years go on. In the same way, the book 1984, by George Orwell is also becoming more relevant.

Leon Garfield was a terrific and underrated writer. I read Black Jack as a child and was captivated. It’s the rare kind of book that would appeal to adults as well as younger readers.

Virginia Maskell suffered from postpartum depression after the birth of her 2nd child. She later suffered a severe nervous breakdown. She died on January 24,1968 after an overdose of antidepressant pills and exposure and developed hypothermia.

Again. Clear. Pm was an actor and not a musical composer. That's why composers. And music editors are there.

While this is certainly plausible - too bad Grainer was never asked point blank (Grainer died so young of course, unfortunately) "did McGoohan in fact come up with the main theme notes?"
