what happened in this future my take thomas=placed in a museum of sodor edward=scrapped henry=in the forest gordon=scrapped james=the museum of sodor percy=the museum of sodor toby=hiding in his old shed with henrieta (that shed in season 2) duck=scrapped donald and douglas=scrapped oliver=scrapped

5 years later Henry was sitting in the forest when he heard chuffing, it was Thomas, Percy, Toby and Mavis “What are you doing here?” said Henry “I thought you would have been scraped by now?” “Well, remember how Oliver many years ago made an escape from BR” said Thomas, “Yeah” replied Henry “Well, where doing the same thing” Answered Thomas “Want to join” Henry realized this might be his only chance to ever be useful ever again “Yes” said henry “I will” so Henry said his final goodbyes the the forest, and him, Thomas, Percy, Toby and Mavis, left for a new life

This is beautiful, Henry will be one of the most memorable characters in the franchise, and Henry’s forest will always be one of the most amazing and beautiful representations of not only Henry, but the entire community.

I personally think this story would work best in the context of the "two Henrys" theory: After the tempermental Henry 1 was written off and the Black Five Henry 2 replaced him, the crew with the help of Topham managed to persuade Crewe to leave Henry 1 somewhere else instead of being scrapped for the chance that he will be rescued and preserved. Knowing their engine, his crew knew the one place Henry would choose to rest while awaiting his rescue. The forest (Just to clarify, I don't believe in the two Henrys theory nor do I consider it cannon in my own opinion)

This engine’s name is Henry He’s A kind engine with A big heart Although one two Boys stumbled Across Henry they both Asked him “why are you here?” Henry replied “I’m here trying staying away from the cutter’s torch… what are you two doing here?” The boys answered “Our grandpa told A tale About you he Said there is A great green engine in these woods… By the way His name is Uhh Ummm Sydney He apparently used to work on the railway and drove an engine called Edward His preserved by the National rail museum at York” Henry suddenly beamed “EDWARD IS STILL AROUND!? WOW!” The boys soon said “there looking for Another engine Maybe that could be you!” the boy suddenly ran off as fast as they could they told there grandfather and now henry is preserved at the national railway museum and Now they all live happily ever after.

As Thomas came back with the final train, he was visited by Douglas, the last remaining steam engine on the mainline. Douglas recounted the story of Oliver, who he helped escape, to Thomas. Thomas thought about the story, and whispered something to his driver. Later that night at 2:00 AM, Percy and Toby where asleep in the sheds. They are woken up by Thomas, fully in steam and with Annie and Clarabel in toe. Soon after they where woken up, Percy and Toby’s crews came out of Annie and went in there engines. “Percy” said Thomas “You go to the quarry and get Mavis” Then Thomas looked at Toby “Toby, get Henrietta” “Thomas, what are you doing?” Asked Toby “First of all, us” said Thomas “Second of all, we are escaping from scrap”
