This is why I think 90% of our issues with our youth would be solved by them serving our country in the military or public service. I be the first to admit that I was dumb punk that straighten my ass up once in boot camp. I learned a skill that I was proud of that earned me a chance to make something of myself in life.

Hand and eye injuries are the most common injuries found in industries. Having been in the Navy and Army National Guard, I find it hard to believe that no one is wearing safety glasses during the maintenance. While a real pain in the ass for fogging it was mandatory in the shipyards. It was also mandatory in the nuke plants I worked at as a civilian. They do work.

I was a 12B in the Army when I was a kid in the late 80 before the wars. If I was to do it all over again I would have been a turbine mechanic in the Navy. Seems like a lot of busy work and technical work at the same time. I really enjoy that kind of work. It’s somehow rewarding to learn the intricacies of these things. They are engineering marvels. I enjoy reading about them to this day.

Got my microsoft flight simulator since the 98 version lol, i dunno itd be cool tho if i waited for a time where the US is flying real ufos, that would be the time to be a pilot. Shoot i would dedicate my life to the country any day if i could be a pilot, or the one flying behind the pilot. I think they have the best job on the planet, jet pilots, bar none.
