There are too many mistakes in this presentation. She's just reading the slides and not explaining things correctly. The photoelectric effect ejects an inner shell electron. The "shell" doesn't fill this vacancy, an ELECTRON from a higher energy shell (such as L) does. This leaves a vacancy in the L-shell, so an electron from the M shell fills it, and so on. Each time an electron moves from a higher energy state to lower, the difference in these energy states is released as a photon. This is the characteristic cascade. Also, she mis-read the slide about grids, which DO increase patient dose since they require an increase in mAs.

At 26.30 we see the positioning for the Townes projection. Notice that the face and neck are in the primary beam, then look at 27.35 and the top of the image shows the TMJ. That means the face and neck were needlessly irradiated because the radiographic series was developed in the 1920s, long before dose was important, and long before the Light Beam Diaphragm. To correct the projection, just push the tube angulation button and ensure the collimation is to the brow line. Changing the tube angulation and centring point this way does not change the geometry though 75% of qualified radiographers and 5% of radiologists believe it does. Please watch my xray beam geometry video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/h7iEatqhtMDRm6M.htmlsi=_qeAxTYEN0d6cWjG

As a physicist, there are some minor errors in the information given about photoelectric effect, also the Compton scattering wasn't taught correctly. I highly recommend reading more about it. Appreciate the effort!

Very interesting, feeling how the bloating and pain receded within approximately two months made all the difference, I simply go’ogled the latest by Tilly Strankten and her Ovarian Cyst Guide and although it really took about 10 weeks for it to totally shrink and vanish I’ve never felt so light and relaxed.

Around 6:55 you're talking about electrons moving from the outer to inner shells; is that what Auger electrons are, or does it just sound similar on the surface?

Hello, do you have any information, formula, or program about DR digital radiography with X-source and especially gamma ir192 so that I can calculate the radiation time?

2:41 is labelled correct, but incorrectly stated. The oxygenated blood coming from pulmonary veins enters the LEFT atrium.

The “cascade” is random. An L-shell electron can drop to the K-shell. However, an O-shell electron can also fill the K- shell vacancy.

I’ve applied for the Radiology Tech program 3 times and have been waitlisted each time. It’s been discouraging and frustrating. However, after watching this video, I have a better understanding of all the opportunities and paths available. It also reminds me that good things come to those who wait and that good things don’t come easy.
