After taking a voice lesson, my coach said you’ve got ‘The Ping’. Which she informed me that I can hit the high E! Hmmm…it felt amazing to know! God bless!🎶

I would say I lack strength in my lower notes. Ive always sang soprano, so I have easy and power on high notes. But, I guess I'm a "choir" singer. I can switch to chest, and get power. But, keeping strong through my entire range is tough. I think flipping is a nice technique in many cases. But, I'd like to use it as one tool, not my only option.

As a vocalist that does both clean and harsh vocals, this has been the way I have been doing my warm-ups for the past month or so and it is great for getting everything moving. I do my own other things to warm up my falsecords for falsecord screaming/growling, but they match right along with this. Has been a great addition to my practice. Thanks! :D

How does a vocal warm up helps?
@adamdriskelldriskellmusic
@adamdriskelldriskellmusic Күн бұрын
@@userxyz7461 The point of a vocal warmup is to get your muscles in your throat ready to go for singing or vocalizing (talking, harsh vocals, ect...) It is like stretching before playing sports. If you don't limber up your leg muscles and then run a 5 kilometer race, then you might be damaging them. The same is true for vocals. So, you get the bloodflow and basically "wake up" the muscles. This way when you start singing you don't accidently hurt yourself. It is also used to wake up and get your abdominal muscles moving because you need to use your core muscles for proper support while singing. Hoped that answered your question. :)

I don't know what you mean by naturally, but I can sing a note straight or with vibrato if I want to. for me vibrato is intentional but its not artifical its still natural ...

Thank you for such a beautiful and helpful video! At 72, I still enjoy singing but still can't "belt out" I'm more soprano ... what you called choir singer... lol But when the "audience" comes and tells me they enjoyed my singing, that makes me feel good... even if it's not really true. lol I've done solo's at church, but want to do more. Thanks for having this video.

Hi, I’m here as a physical therapist who wants to see if vocal warm up exercises will release tension in the diaphragm which also loosens the whole spine, hips amd shoulders!!! Chime in (hee hee) if you feel these areas feel looser after this session…it works for me! Best to test how these areas move before and after.

Thank you. I have a starting point now. Started karaoke a year ago and now have around 200 songs I like to sing (none of them in the modern era) - a blender/touch of flipper. It's like you have the vitality of a 1950s performer and the technical brilliance of someone in the 40's (2040's) - refreshing.
