Cy thanks for this video. My family and I are going to Scotland in a couple of weeks. Is there a way to hike to the first Monroe and go back. I would love to summit one mountain in Scotland. But I don’t have a whole day to hike 7miles. How long do you think it would talk to hike to the first Cairn? 3 hours round trip? Cairn Gorm? Is that the first cairn after the ski lodge. How long would it take you to hike up there. The funicular used to take people up to the ski lodge but it isn’t working now. I would love some advice. Thanks.
@cyruscrossan27 күн бұрын
Yeah you just don't keep going on the path after making it up to Cairn Gorm, just turn around and head back towards the ski area. Yes, Cairn Gorm is the first one after the lodge. I think it takes about an hour and some change, half of the walk to Cairn Gorm is walking up the actual ski area though.

You could also hike the trail in reverse, here's the AllTrails, trail: www.alltrails.com/trail/scotland/highlands/cairngorm-northern-corries-rim?u=i&sh=xhrxan Have a great time! Definitely bring a jacket even in the summer as it's cooler and windier up there and it can always rain.

It's funny when people make excuses for go pro.and say the sensor is really smaller because the Camera is so compact. My phone camera and sensor Is extremely small and the video quality is So much better it's not even funny. A gopro is supposed to be a dedicated camera. That's the only job it's supposed to do, and it does it quite poorly. The video footage looks like a camera from 15 years ago. An actual 1080 camera looks way way better, and gopro is supposed to be 4k and beyond. I've never seen gopro footage that even looks as good as 1080.
@cyruscrossan2 ай бұрын
I can understand that - I remember feeling the same way when I got my first GoPro. I think there are some moments where GoPro footage can really shine and look really good - but it's not for every moment.

Is this much snow expected in late Feb, or does march typically lay the most ?
@cyruscrossan6 ай бұрын
I would say yes, a lot of snow in both months. The part road usually doesn’t get cleared of snow until May / June. This video was filmed mid March.

I'm not one drawn to the exacting attention to detail needed for architecture so Feats of Engineering are one of those things where I shake my head and tip my cap. I had a similar feeling when we saw some of the stone arches we were driving over on the Going to the Sun road in Glacier. The ingenuity and perseverance of Man!

It's just crazy sometimes, I find bridges pretty interesting. Going to the Sun is pretty wild as well, when there's a will, there's a way if people really want to get there.
