London was like traveling back in time but also into the future! The architecture and just how the city was built is so pretty with small side roads since the city wasn’t built for cars, it’s just very intricate and so fun to walk around. It’s also super modern of course too like all the shops and restaurants are so so good! I think about going back at least twice a month haha. It also didn’t rain at all the whole week I was there! I went in May so highly recommend that time of year to visit!

I just did this very same thing today! I went from blue black to a level 7 pure copper colour and I did one round of Schwarzkopf's bond enforcing colour remover with 20 volume (6%) developer. Took 20 minutes with a bag on my head and it got me to probably a level 8 orange and, honestly, my hair still feels amazing! If you can ever get your hands on that stuff, I highly recommend trying it if you ever need to do a colour remover again. Your new colour looks absolutely *FANTASTIC* on you! 💖 Try washing your hair with cool water and a colour safe shampoo. It helps sooo much with keeping your hair nice and red. I also use a colour depositing conditioner/mask once a week to keep my copper fresh whenever I have copper hair. They make them in red, too, for sure.

Oh God. Another one. Tower of London. Tower Bridge. Borough Market. Oh, it's sunny - who'dh've thought we have sunny days. Do you people never do any research at all. This is a huge, really huge town that offers things available nowhere else in the World and all you can do is bleat on about the the Tower Big Ben etc. Sure, see all those, but do something else. See some Jazz - it knocks spots off of New York. Go to a concert - London offers everything. See a show - West End or small pub back room, it's all there. Eat in Southall if you like curry. There is so much more than Chinatown, Trafalgar Square, Museums (although they are unbeatable). Oh! Was that a red bus. Oh! Goodie! Honestly, Americans!
@BethVonBlack
@BethVonBlack 6 ай бұрын
I sort of thought the same - I've seen so many American vlogs do Borough market, Big Ben (Which is actually the name of the bell, not the clock - the tower is called Elizabeth Tower) and even Rye. I'm from England and have never even heard of Rye... lol. There are way better things to do in London than all these vloggers will have you believe - their itineraries are literally identical. Sometimes it would make sense to ask someone from London for some suggestions 'off the beaten track'.

Not "ocean side" ... It's the 'seaside' esoecially as Rye and other towns along tge south coast face the English Channel which is only between 22 - 23 miles across and you can see France on a good clear day from the towns and cliffs of England's south coast. Some / a lot of the coastal town shorelines are shingle beaches (stony) but have sand at theur outermost edges, seen when the tides go out... The closer one travels to the South Eastern coastlines, the sandier the seashores become. The East Coast (off the counties of Essex, Suffolk* & Norfolk** pronounced Suffuk* & Norfuk**) are mostly wide sandy beaches - and some of the ancient (& current) towns and villages have over time, including recently, (and are still bring) "reclaimed by the seas' strong wave erosion, causing many villagers to have to move out of homes they've lived in for a lifetime, and now must sadly leave, to live in safer properties further from the coastlines.😢 A nice seasude town to visit is Broadstairs, on the South East coastline corner of the County of Kent. Broadstairs has a series of wide, sweeping sandy beaches and bays with interesting names such as 'Viking Bay', 'Joss Bay', 'Stonegate Bay', etc and 'Viking Bay' has a wide harbour wall which protects the bay itsrlf & boaters / yachtsmen, swimmers & paddlers etc from the rougher seas beyond the harbour. The town also hosts fans of the author Charles Dickens*, who lived, and wrote there. .(*he wrote, amongst other stories, "A Christmas Carol", "Bleak House", "A Tale Of Two Cities", "Barbaby Rudge", "Great Expectations", and many more). 😊

Americans think it always rains in Britain well the west side of Britain gets more rain than the East side of Britain, infact New York gets more rain than Britain also does the city of Sydney in Australia. Americans seem to get this idea that London is cold, foggy and raining all the time, that is so incorrect that it is laughable. I live just 25 minutes by car outside London and where I live we have not had a White Christmas since 1982. 💂‍♂️💂‍♂️🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿💙💛🇺🇦🇺🇦

Great that you walked so much. On my days off I too usually walk about 22k steps around anywhere random in London, with my camera. I've lived in London for 27 years (am 48 now) and don't even have a drivers' license. You visited some great areas. The walk on the north side of the Thames, Shoreditch etc. There are gazillions them. I love the long canal walk from north of Shoreditch west all the way to similarly trendy (but more punk rock-y) Camden. You can get down from London to Brighton in not much more than an hour by train and that's a great, lively seaside place (although the beaches are shingle not sand). Plus it has the trippiest aquarium ever.

Another thing: yes, it's a very good idea to wear shoes which are comfortable to walk in when visiting London (keep the Louis Ferragamos for having donner in the evening). But don't forget buses for getting from A to B, and for seeing the city - stay away from tourist buses. I recommend the number 74 from between Harrods and Marks and Spencer's (Orchard Street) to Putney.

No such place as downtown London. Main tourist areas are within zone 1 on the underground map. Outside into outer zones great London has plenty of history and different characteristics. The majority of people who work in London live outside the centre. These are the main tourist postcodes. West End - W1, W2,SW1, WC1, WC2. City- EC1, EC2, EC3, E1, SE1 Also SW3, W11, NW1. Then you have Greater London with loads of history, shopping, food and drink. All easily reachable on public transport where you can see more of real London and slightly cheaper as well.
