My problem with the r50 is that i couldnt get the video to always be as sharp as i would have liked. Most the videos were super soft, and i just couldn't getdetailsl out of it, as well as the stabalization didnt work great it felt very jitter, and there was distortion pretty frequently in my clips, i just changed to the sony a6300 a few days ago and can already say if your having problems with any of that than the sony a6300 is a great alternative for you, main difference will be the colors but if you edit those in post than your good, relatively around the same price too.

Beautiful footage. I have an R7, can't wait to play with it in Hong Kong and Taiwan. I made every possible videography mistake in Bangkok. I think I will invest in a Sigma 18-50 mm f2.8, and start taking short individual clips, instead of recording continuously.

Great video! Your camera technique is very good. I'm assuming that most (if not all) the footage was shot in 'auto' mode. If so, it handled everything really well. Thanks for posting.

I have a t3i and might want an r50! I briefly used a Sony ZV e10 at the camera store and felt like the image was too digital and sharp if that makes sense. I love my t3i but want something smaller with WiFi . I take photos hopefully eventually for a blog and do light vlogging such as this video of Portugal! Do you have regrets getting the r50? Does it overheat? And weird question do you feel like your face looks the same in the r50 compared to older cameras ? I feel like the t3i has a filmy look which I love Thanks for any info!

Yeah I think from other reports the R8 has the same AF system as the R6 mk II. It’s got to be that schlocky kits lens. The images and color science are beautiful . Thanks. 😊

I was a Sony only in my mind because of autofocus but the footage looks real good I don't know how it is on your face close up tho? But it's beautiful I love the colours! Thank you for posting!

thank for the video!) do you colorize your videos and shoot them in CLOG / CLOG 3, or this is just Standard out of camera? (and if yes, what profile do you use in camera)? Also i had a question (as i have R6 main too :) for 3 years +- already) i am curious do you mind to have a B crop camera lets say R50 or R7? or if you have R6 (ff) there is no reason to buy one, because R6 is still light and compact - compared to older mirror camera i mean) Thank you in advance. I also have 2021 m1 max 14 :))) we have same gear, but i skills is great, always great to watch, everytime i am trying handheld, there is wobbling and unsteadiness, don't know how to challenge this, even your turning angles from 1 person to another is so crisp)) youre in frame, so this is someone from your family, respect) Wish you all the best!

Hello, you are so welcome, thanks for watching! I just use the Standard picture style, no CLOG/CLOG 3. I have the Canon 90D as my secondary camera (which I used to film the overhead backpack shots in this video). I would get the R50 or R10 today if I wanted another, "lesser" camera. Warp Stabilizer helps with a lot of the wobbling in post, and everything else has just taken a lot of practice. Even the turns! :) I still think I can improve some, but I appreciate your kind words!
