I went to a Halloween-themed anime event at a comic shop nearly two decades ago. All the attendees were teenagers and children. Among other things, we were shown the first episode of this series. The staff specifically let us know that they were showing us the English dub because it was famous for letting the actors just say whatever they wanted. Coolest. Staff. Ever. That's still the only episode I've ever seen, so the first thing I always think of is "Every little thing is gonna be alright! … You should listen to more Bob Marley!" It's been so fun to see these clips suddenly getting recommended to me. I need to watch the rest of the series.

According to one of the vas, the director for the dubbing only had to keep the characters names the same and keep the premise the same. Because of those fateful instructions, we got one of the best comedy dubs of all time
