Also very invasive. Checks out that it's spreading in your garden. Stop recommending invasive plants. No thank you!
@healthyhabitsandgardeningh721619 күн бұрын
@@selvam466 there is a difference between invasive species and just plants that readily self seed. I like the plants that self seed for my garden because they are like surprises and make me happy. www.dcnr.pa.gov/Conservation/WildPlants/InvasivePlants/InvasivePlantFactSheets/Pages/default.aspx

I think technically the taste is altered and they do not store because of the flower penetrating the bulb.

Thank you! It's been a work in progress. I layered compost on top of the yard that I then covered with cardboard and then mushroom soil on top of that and mulch on top of that. It's very rich and lovely already this year!

I have the seed trays as well, but it just feels so wasteful to buy the special pods and plant them in the ground. I wish there was a good DIY solution for that. Looks good though. I started up a winter garden with Aerogardens indoors. We are a little too heavy with snow to have an outdoor winter garden.
@healthyhabitsandgardeningh72162 ай бұрын
I have found after using these a few times as well that my plants that I then plant dont seem to use up the pods either so I kind of discontinued using it except for a few things. I did start buying cheaper versions off of Amazon because I agree they are pricey for single use but really helpful when people don't have the space and its an all contained unit.
@theaerogardenhomestead Жыл бұрын
Some of the off brands are a little stiffer, like the seed has a hard time pushing the root down into the sponge and will just grow upwards. It is a little annoying to have to pull the seedling, tear down the side of the sponge and place the seed in properly. I have always liked the idea of doing this but feel like it wastes the sponge. For the time savings, it might just be worth it though. I plan on starting a lot of seeds for next years garden. I currently have a bunch of Aerogardens running for an indoor winter garden and the seed tray wasn't as useful as I had hoped. Most of the plantings were staggered so they would all come ripe at the same time. The open tops are an issue when not using every opening as it allows for algae growth which transfers over to the main Aerogarden.
@healthyhabitsandgardeningh72162 ай бұрын
I asked my husband to try to 3d print little tops to help with the algae but they don't fit on the Sprout version because of the curves around the outside
