So sad that there were all these big plans for books, comics, and an extended universe, then... poof. Nothing. I've *still* been holding out some hope that we will know the conclusion of the story, but I guess I have to make it up myself.

I am still disappointed about the Pretender. They had the opportunity to end the story with the movies but chose to leave us with a cliffhanger. Then they could have wrapped it up with the books, but they rebooted. Then they announced so many plans for more books, comics, etc, but then abandoned them. One of my favorite series of all time, which I can only view in a negative light now.

I absolutely loved the Pretender, but it also pissed me off. They could have wrapped the story up with the movies but gave us another cliffhanger. They could have wrapped it up with the books but went back to the beginning. Like so many other devoted fans, I am now left without answers, never knowing the final fate of all these beloved characters. When the books started coming out, there were all these plans being made for novels, comics, and more. And we got nothing.

So I just found out about the reboot, and I am ecstatic. I have been a fan for over a decade, and I might went off to other fandoms but Pretender have been one of my first real fandoms, and I never forgot it. Thank you all of you, the cast, the writers, the crew who never really gave up on this show, and never gave up on your fans. *hugs*

Interesting back story. I think the first reason he stayed was pretty obvious (being afraid). It would be interesting to see how Broots would fix the Centre.
