i think the center wire of coax needs to be attached to the long side of ladder doesn't it. Do the instructions indicate that.

Very simple and effective tilt down mast system that does not use guy ropes for support. What Antenna is that?

The latch can be locked. Use a padlock with a long shank. It will swing to either side to access.

I want to thank you for doing this gate and for making this video especially. I used this video as a guide to build this gate myself. I ordered a shed and my gate opening was too small so I built this. I got the gate from tractor supply, the hooks from lowes and wood from a local store. I cut a picket so the gate will swing both ways as well. I have a few pickets left and tomorrow after work it will be done since dinner was more tempting than finishing. Again, thank you so much for all the work that went into showing us this!

Another great build idea, Steve. The new audio setup sounds great! My only suggestion is to add another drill hole at the top of the "T" for a support rope to hoist it in the air. Thanks for these videos from a happy subscriber...73! de WX0V

This calls for experimentation ... there's not much salt water here in northern Ohio, but groundwater does contain enough natural minerals to be conductive to a degree. Methinks it's time for field testing!

Another question. I hv a My Antennas,10-80 efhv, 130 feet, flat(@20 feet high). With my Icom 7300 and mfj-998, the wire works really well. I can even work 160, decently with low swr. Now, I have a ground wire coming off of the 49:1 to a grnd rod. Off of this, I hv multiple wires for a counterpoise( my experiment), which improves the low bsnds🥳. If if if, I put up, in the same configuration, their 9:1 with 173’ or 202’ wire efhw(these are their lengths available), would I see a sizable improvement on all bands or low bands, etc, vs my 130 49:1?? Just curious. Ps. With my amp and 400 watts, I really have a good signal. Thanku for the help n your input. Billy N1mrk

Interestingly we have a 6000 BTU of this same brand but it has a push button type switch. It wouldn't turn on the first time we used it this year. I watched your vid and tried the switch one or two more times and it worked. Cheap quality switches the company's using I guess.
