I love my Nitro Deck. I got it a few months ago so it isn't the + model, but I never dock it anymore anyway so that function isn't a must have. Still love my Switch Lite more.❤

Is a good game

Drummer wasn't in the books, there were a few characters that were made up or changed for the TV show. You have to judge each one media take on it's own, of course the books will be better because nothing matches the SFX and other aspects in your mind :). I compare the differences to another work of fiction. It's like comparing the gospels the character of Jesus (and story tone) is a lot different in Matthew than it is in John. The gist of the story is about the same but how the writer got from start to end is a bit different. Having the authors heavily involved, a show runner that was invested in the show, and a bunch of others involved in the show who gave a crap about it being good made the show stand on it's own. If you liked the series it's worth listening to the audio books.... if for nothing than the interchange when Amos comes back to Earth and he and "Chrissy" are having the conversation about why he is back on Earth. It'll also explain why Naiomi was biding her time looking for the right time instead of what looks like wallowing in self pity. Amos starts off as being a hulking and indifferent and not as a monster. Thanks for the review. these kind of games are hit and miss for me... I was in the golden age before the interwebz, the Sierra point and click adventures and the other adventure games "computer novels" on apples, commies, ataris, and TRS 80s. :) Thinking of getting it after I've recovered from my hardware upgrade. Also from the look of it I'll be ripping each scene down and trying to mentally replicate the scenes and asset deigns for Unreal Engine.

I have one issue on console but im actually not sure if its my console or tv lol The display size is off, i cant see the beginning of words or things like monsters hp but theres nothing in game settings to fix it. Did you have this issue at all?

I picked it up a few days ago. It's a really impressive game. There are parts of it that do get tedious (towards the end there's a lot of travel where not much goes on for a stretch), but it's an overall great game. I'm going to start my second run today. There seem to be some decisions you can make that lead to very different endings.

Nice review. I dig the format, i like longer reviews like this it actually gives you an idea of what the game is like unlike other formats such as IGN. Seems more objective.

It doesnt sound like this was your type of game at all, but i would say they have updated the game a lot adding legendary fish aswell as 2 other locations.

There is so much that can be said about this game. As a solar-punk-themed game, It breaks the hero's journey convention that we always see in games and focuses entirely on the community that lived there. This is sought out by the solar-punk community in general because the hero's journey cluttered all of our media these days and the origin of it contradicts the solar-punk stories' leftist ideals. The story is sparse but it includes daily lives, politics and challenges this community faced and how they chose to go about it which led to a big migration event, instead of restoring their land. Our non-aggressive approach contradicts theirs, instead of trying to win against it, we collaborate with the cliff's biome and bring back the rain. About the mechanics, I think the best invention was the inclusion of the finite amount of rope you had. It is not only climbing to the top but while you are doing it you have to find the shortest path or you will run out of rope. This mechanic puts emphasis on being resourceful which can be a part of the critique the game makes against capitalism.
