Gloss black looks more premium, but scratches easier so won't age as well. Matte black doesn't look as good new but will age better. I'd love one on these face lift clubsports, they fixed the electrical niggles and hot hatches ar a dying breed. Future collectors item!

Was looking to buy a 2024 Tiguan here in Canada. Test drive but found the infotainment screen fiddly & not really intuitive. Asked the dealership when the series 3 would come to Canada, she denied there WAS a series 3! So reluctant to spend C$56,000 on a vehicle that is soon to be an old model. This new model really looks like it may have answered some of my negatives. Great review. Thank You!

Why are the expensive? In Australia they start at £23,600 and top out at £30,000. Who would buy one at the UK price? No one.

God awful wheels, Gti badges look cheap and nasty and the ones on the door look ridiculous,looks odd from the front as well and why have they gone back to the old design of radar. I'll stick with my TCR 👍🏻

It's a great looking car. But it always annoys me, when the top of the range cars still have to upgrade the car. My car was the top spec, but still had a £600 paint option and a must £1500 wheels upgrade.

Another great review Tish, relaxed with everything covered. Although its a good looking little Lexus, I'd find the lack of elbow room and the step down into the boot very irritating. Regarding your comparison to Honda, I recently acquired a Honda zr v advance (after seeing your review for it!) which has plenty of elbow room and a lovely flat boot, plus a brilliant 2 ltr engine and electric motor set up making a fantastic yet economic drive - ending my 30 odd years as a Toyota/ Lexus driver.

Great review and I agree with your points on the red bar not being fixed at the front when the car is off. Its great that it does appear when driving but when stationary it is hard to differentiate this from a Golf R or any other Golf model a little bit. My OCD is also not happy with the front vents not being symmetrical so good spot but that's not a deal breaker and overall the car is a great little facelift upgrade from the MK8 👍

Another great review and critique of the car! I like the exterior design - it looks aggressive but manages to retain classiness. One thing that I'm not a fan of is the from LED light bar running between the light clusters. Not sure about the illuminated brand logo trend too. One day it might grow on me.

And yeah, you are right ... the front grill "plays in another movie" ... and the lack of the red line - it's a minus (but the owners will solve it in the first day after buying the car ... obviously 😃). Also, I might add the black exterior for the roof - not very aware of the reality of physics (the colour black attracting & colecting the thermic energy from the sun ... transforming the cabin in an oven 😃) ...

I agree about the screen a smaller screen would fit in Portrait better like the one in the Polestar 2. Blame TESLA they started the war of the screens and many Chinese brands are way more screens mad than BYD.

I would point your viewers to the What Car triple test that had the Model 3, Seal and ID7 on a return trip to the West Country. In just about all practical measures, the Model 3 was clearly the better buy. You've got to really love indicator stalks to choose anything else.

The only reason it is over £40K is over £10K of British government taxes. In China the AWD Dual Motor version sells for just under £28,000 equivalent RMB. They have 3 versions in China so this one is the middle version which you can buy in China for literally half the price that it is in the UK with the same quality trim.
@MrDuncl
@MrDuncl 14 сағат бұрын
Yes but if you lease one you pay minimal tax. In two years time these will be £22K. The local BYD dealer has a low mileage 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 for that price.

Well done for being appreciative and open-minded: The version in China has more ocean decoration on rear side and back this UK one is toned down because they know Brits are miserable and boring and recoil at anything outside of their bubble. Some Brit car reviewers have had to go into therapy just to deal with can't get over issues relating to the guitar strings in the ATTO 3.

Two levels in UK. But the RWD is the best choice it is more efficient, longer range and actually feels faster than it really is and more fun than AWD dual motor even though the AWD has an 0-60 that twice as fast, but who needs that?

Do you know why the U.S. electric vehicle industry is lagging behind? On the one hand, it is unwilling to make progress and blindly uses administrative and tariff measures, which can only weaken the competitiveness of the domestic automobile industry. China has never rejected American companies, including Tesla. When Tesla first entered China, it also had an impact on China's new energy vehicles, but it also greatly stimulated the development of China's new energy industry.
