No, not at all. Just loosen the fuel cap so no pressure builds that can slowly weep fuel out of the line.

Ring spanner, must be from UK. I’ve had no issues with my tools and stripping of bolts is not an issue unless they have been severely rusted. 45 years of using tools I consider myself to be somewhat proficient. Thanks for the comments and suggestion.

This video was of no help for the 1999 Sambar. We need a lot mor videos spacificaly for the newer body Sambar as there is nothing. I've been battleing this for hours as a mouse has crawled up in my dash and died. It stinks! But I have 1 little thing I can not find for the life of me that's preventing the complete removal and now I've already broke 2 things trying!

@@turnbullgarage88 Thanks. It's hot as hell and aggravating to the max. I believe I need to pull the bottom steering column off but there are 4 screws. 2 were easy, the other 2 are recessed 4" deep with a 1/3" hole to get a screw driver in but not be able to see or get a grip. I'm no little guy, that's why I gave up the previous body style and got this bigger cab, so this kind of bending over in the heat out in a stuffy garage and smelling rotten maggot mouse and breaking parts is enough to make a guy go insane! lol

Hi Richard. M1Fan here (forum pseudo) with the fuel pump issue. Thanks for sharing your adventures once again. Love the format. You are getting very good at editing nd narrative. Smart move to travel one day ahead of the event. Looks like you and Jenny made the best out of it with the road incident. So awesome that you got Jenny joining you as a passenger first and now, into actual track driving. Beautiful track, elevation changes, banked turn, and landscape to start her off. She is a good sport! Could see that she was gaining confidence already at her second session. Very cool! You had better lines than the V8uù Camaro and it took the stubborn driver a while to point you by...

Do you change the alignment every time you go on track? I currently autocross my Mach1 and the swaps I currently make are tires only. How quickly have you been able to swap the alignment change?
@turnbullgarage8821 күн бұрын
Yes. Takes 5 minutes per side. Just jack front corner, loosen upper strut mounting bolts, slide strut inwards to the stop and tighten strut bolts. Toe is likely impacted slightly but I’ve had no issues. I plan on putting it on an alignment machine to see what effect it has on the toe.

I've found if you don't put any lube when checking clearances, the plastigauge wont stick as bad and its easier to wipe off if it does get stuck to the part. As long as you're not spinning the rods or crank without lube (which you shouldn't be if you're just checking clearances), you should be fine with the metal on metal contact. Can't wait to get my Sambar soon!

Well, they are called throw-out bearings for a reason.... since they are pretty consumable. If you have an engine away from the trans it's good practice to just start over with a new a bearing there.
