Dear friend. Very beautiful hiking across the tea estates. The estates you have covered look very healthy and of best quality. Hope, the fragrance these tea bushes emanates, make your journey very refreshing. I grew among tea bushes in the up country and fondly remembering those wonderful days . Thank you so much for putting out this video.

Hey Sri! Awesome video as always. Have you ever climed Bena Samanala or Dharmarajagala? Are they easy to climb? Thanks ❤
@SriAbeywickrema6 сағат бұрын
Thanks - Not climbed either and from what I've heard, not so easy and allowed either. Let's see if I get lucky one day to visit them

A wonderful venture into the peak wilderness. Love your take on "Magal ganga" and "Kuru ganga". Maybe add on a playlist for that foretold journey towards "Maliboda Eli 7" too. Maybe visit there again if time allows you freedom. Who knows?I would certainly watch that video. As always... love your enthusiasm and passion you put on to each journey. Even though you completed all trails for Adam's peak,never give up visiting that place again and again. That scenery which contained "Bagawanthalawa, Mahamuni Kanda, Gawarawila, Bena Samanala and Darmarajagala" was eye candy to me. No need to exaggerate,but it looks like a cinematic illustration. I can only imagine how much picturesque it is to see it from your very own eyes. Your vivid explanations regarding locations are priceless. Never miss them. Plus the dead silence you bring on from time to time at various locations keep adding a missing factor ,which is something a lot of travellers are unaware of. The understanding of the surroundings.

It's nice to see another path to Sri pada. What a blessed place this is. Each path is prettier than the next. Also, happy to see, government is allowing pilgrims to walk in these paths without much of restrictions. The noise of the insects are soothing. The water flowing sounds are recorded very beautifully. Able to follow you narration to certain extent. Looking forward for your next documentary.

Really helpful. Thank you so much. One thing I would really appreciate is a list of accommodation near the stage trail heads. Thanks so much if you have suggestions particularly for the first five or six stages.
@SriAbeywickrema12 күн бұрын
Thanks Nick - As for Stage 1, you can find a lot of options through Booking at the trail head or even in Kandy. If you are looking for a option towards the end, try "Dunali Mountains (075 7709244 / 076 2279116)". So far I've done up to Stage 7 and accommodation options were somewhat hard to find closer to the trail end. However, there are new places coming up.

Guess you're wondering how the Galaha came to be or the meaning - If so, I'm yet to come across it in detail. Will share if I happen to find.
@bluebag224217 күн бұрын
@@SriAbeywickrema Thank you so much for your reply. About 12 years ago, i wrote an essay on that town for Wikipedia. During that time, i was intrigued by the name Galaha. I heard locals saying, it had some connection with the huge fruit farm established (now only remnants are there) with huge stone construction around the garden. I understand Gal means stone in Sinhalese.. But, didn't understand the full meaning Galaha.. In your videos, you were explaining names like khumbare, pathane etc. So, i thought of asking you.

Nice video from you as always. Maybe you were meant to visit via this trail eventually. I did not expect so many waterfalls to be located in such a vicinity. I thought the water was pure. But then out of nowhere you showed the impurities. It is so woeful to see the heart of all mountains just like that. Maybe the tragedy was inevitable. How can a minority ruin such a sacred place is beyond my imagination. By the way...thanks for bringing us unedited, raw sounds and visuals. End note:- Keep up the good work,Sri. Hopefully you can visit Agraoya too(Just like I asked you in a previous video). I will also look forward to appreciate your oncoming journey via Dik Ella Kanda trail.

Thanks for the link. It is a beautiful walk. I did wonder about the nature of the trail and the layers of stones in places. I think it must be a very old path, maybe before the British era even. But very peaceful now. Is it now part of the Pekeo trail?
@SriAbeywickremaАй бұрын
Thanks - This is a very old path connecting Haputale to Ohiya, Udaweriya, Pattipola but with the rail and road network, kinda went offline. Pekoe Stage 12 from Udaweriya to Haputlae goes on the right hand side facing Haputale-Beragala via tea estates.
