We just danced our way through the 70s partying loving and having fun to the greatest soundtrack of any generation.

I agree that Floyd is the pinnacle with one caveat: They are a genre unto themselves. Nobody does what they did. They created an entirely new category. The caveat is this: there is another band who created a whole new category that no one has ever been able to join, just like Floyd in their own category, and that is Steely Dan. They are Michaelangelos as well!
